Abductions Mukoko Morgan Tsvangirai Injuries ZAPU ZANU PF army killingsPublished: November 6, 2009
Zimbabwe’s prime minister has ended his boycott of the country’s unity cabinet, saying he wants to give the body time to work out its difficulties, Al Jazeera reports.
Morgan Tsvangirai boycotted the government three weeks ago after accusing the country’s president, Robert Mugabe, of not implementing the power-sharing agreement and sanctioning the harassment of opposition MDC supporters.
Tsvangirai’s decision on Thursday followed a meeting in Maputo, Mozambique, with members of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
“We have suspended our disengagement from the GPA (Global Political Agreement) with immediate effect and we will give President Robert Mugabe 30 days to implement the agreement on the pertinent issues we are concerned about,” he told reporters.
He said his return to the cabinet would give the southern African group time to mediate.
Tsvangirai and Mugabe formed their coalition in February at the urging of the SADC.
Tsvangirai’s Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) began boycotting cabinet meetings with Mugabe’s ZANU-PF last month, although he said at the time that his withdrawal was only a temporary move.
The MDC leader has accused Mugabe of being a “dishonest and unreliable partner” for refusing to implement power-sharing fully, particularly regarding decisions over senior appointments.
Nonetheless Tsvangirai has said he sees the coalition as the only way to rescue Zimbabwe from economic ruin and political violence.
Mugabe’s ZANU-PF party has accused Tsvangirai and the MDC of not doing enough to persuade Western nations to lift travel and financial sanctions targeted at ZANU-PF leaders and their business allies.
Western donors have said they are reluctant to send funds to Zimbabwe until a stable government creates a democracy that can implement political and economic reforms.

WE NEED TO BE VERY SERIOUS WITH THE ISSUES AT HAND GUYS. OTHERWISE THIS BIFFING WONT TAKE US ANYWAY.save as an individual obviously ahs some weaknesses as all of us. the problem here is we are having a leader that seems to listen to the voice of reason. he pulled out of the gnu and requested SADC to intervene which has happened. again he has given rwavhi 30 days to change his colours and implement the gnu..educated he!the person who is not educated here is rwavhi and his minders alike. they sign contracts whose contents they do not even understand you see.
A lot of us need to appreciate the valour of save who went to the extent of losing his wife in the fight against rwavhi. some even so it better to go and become refugees elsewhere rather than face rwavhi’s brutality…. bravo morgie.
the issue yekudzidza tisamboitaure zvedu nekuti a lot of zimbos would tell u that in zim there is a negative correlation between being educated and politically effective. we failed with cabinet full of drs and profs -moyo, mbocho, sekeraramayi, rugoche… and the list is endless.
some of u are send by gono and chinos to degrade chamatama in the press… well but we wont vote rwavhi tingatochotera dhongi. ive vanotaura nemudzimu wamuzenda havauudze here kuti dhongi razomera nyanga.
lets rather behind save for change, the first man to defeat rwavhi in an election.. what a feat?

Predictable unpredictability is a very good stategy when dealing with an certain uncertain revolutionary party. There are many ways of dressing a cockeral such as plucking out one feather at time until it ready for cooking.

Tsvangirai is a wise-man, he moves with the time and does everything for the people. What is he concerned about? The people’s welfare. The country needs its Prime Minister back, and he has heeded their cry. Thumbs up to Morgan!

You can have the support from the people. You can also have financial resources to help mobilise that support. If the brains are not there, in vain are the efforts of those who are assisting you.Your stupidity strengthens the voracious will of your enemy. If you are to get rid of your enemy, stop exposing your stupidity all the time. You can never win and I repeat you can never win. Use your brains and be calculative.
