Abductions Mukoko Morgan Tsvangirai Injuries ZAPU ZANU PF army killingsPublished: February 1, 2010
Harare(ZimEye)- Movement For Democratic Change(MDC) spokesperson Nelson Chamisa said utterances by ZANU-PF that MDC was responsible for sanctions which were imposed by the west and accusations that it is forwarding the agenda of the white community is a clear sign that the liberation party has run out of ideas.
Chamisa told journalists in Harare at the weekend that his party was formed to restore democracy, human rights, and rule of law which have been violated by ZANU-PF.
“It’s correct to say that MDC has a regime change agenda because the party was formed to fight for democracy, remove dictators of ZANU-PF who have failed the people of Zimbabwe and replace the government with politicians with people at heart and we will achieve this through free and fair elections. It’s not surprising to say that because even ZANU-PF had a regime change agenda when it fought against the former colonial masters who were oppressing people just like it(ZANU-PF)has done over the years,”Chamisa said.
President Mugabe of ZANU-PF accuses the MDC of being a puppet party of Western governments opposed to his leadership and says the opposition is being used by the West to undermine Zimbabwe’s sovereignty and sweep him from power. MDC denies the charges.
“What is wrong is to say that MDC is for whites and is fighting for the interests of the whites. We are surprised by ZANU-PF’s utterances that Mr. Tony Blair and George Bush have a part to play in the MDC, because when people of Zimbabwe voted in March 2008 the two were not on the Zimbabwean voter’s roll.
“These are utterances of a party which has run out of ideas”, added Chamisa.
In March 2008 MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai beat ZANU-PF Presidential candidate Robert Mugabe with a narrow margin but failed to reach the required 51% vote to be declared the country’s President.(ZimEye, Zimbabwe)

Shameless hypocrite, Mr Chamisa.
Bush and Blair ight not have been in Zimbabwe to vote in March 2008 or ealier for that matter but MDC-T is their baby and legacy.
They provided the funds and material for you to reach out Zimbabweans and sell yoour party to them.
Tony Blair is on record as saying he was working with your party to effect the regime agenda.
Britain exported this idea to EU.
Bush legislated ZDERA to aid your efforts.
it strangulates Zanu-pf while it props you up financially and morally.
It feeds hate media that benefits you.
It meant to squeeze economy so that even in the absence of a single white voter, sanctioned Zimbabweans would see you as better alternative, being new and of course being close to the holders of the sanctions whip.
But understandably you are frustrated by kudos being given to yts.
it should be owned that you along with other forces truly wanted some change back in the late 90’s but then the very same yts hijacked and drove the agenda, effectively making it their own.
the imperialist motives of the two countries have thus overtaken your civil and political mvt.
in esence the so-called mvt has been thoroughly bastardised, not to mention that you have materially and financially benefitted from such.
At any rate, you are bound to play the piper’s tune.
And please stop making this infantile and dishonest sophism about whites not being the ones who voted.
They are very much part of the game.

Kakomana has a point because without starving our masses, MDC would have had a fare chance of being a true democratic movement for an African country. It would have taken the MDC much longer to even get closer to where they are today because of the liberation war legacy which should be respected. In due season, MDC would have matured together with the masses of Zimbabwe to be a genuine opposition or even majority party in Government through proper home grown processes. Its no longer the case, sanctions starved our people and they voted by their stomachs and joblessness because of the sanctions! This is no longer democracy. It is a complete sellout to the colonialists and sadly by our own black kith and kin! This is where it hurts the most! This is not democracy by a long way! It is an imposition by the white suprimacists who have never respected a black man and uses another black man against his own! Nhamo inhamo zvavo mai havaroodzwi! That is why Mugabe’s statement, “Zimbabwe will never be a colony again.” rings so true.
