Abductions Mukoko Morgan Tsvangirai Injuries ZAPU ZANU PF army killingsPublished: May 20, 2009
Harare(ZimEye)Another MDC MP was arrested on Tuesday and is being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl, the ZimEye has learnt.
Opposition MP Blessing Chebundo (Kwekwe) arrested on Tuesday faces charges that may lead to a long prison sentence in Zimbabwe’s dreaded prisons if determined guilty.
A ZimEye survey on Wednesday found 95% of Zimbabweans dismissing the case as ‘daylight fraud’. The timing of the arrest in particular has been found to be ‘too incredible’ being within a few days of another MDC MP from Chipinge who was imprisoned on charges
‘only raised and verified by the ZANU PF controlled Police service.’
Police spokesman Wayne Bvudzijena said the MP was arrested in Harare on Tuesday and transferred to Kwekwe where he is assisting police investigations.
According to Bvudzijena, police are investigating a ‘complaint’ by a certain young girl who accuses the MP of raping her in his car on the banks of Sebakwe River between Kadoma and Kwekwe.
Chebundo has been the MP for Kwekwe since 2000.
The MP was in Harare on parliament business.
He is a member of the main MDC faction led by Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai. (ZimEye, Zimbabwe)

Its a shame that only MP’s from MDC are arrestable for any offence. Thank to the media for letting us to know.

This is the typical Zanu-pf trick of smoke & mirrors they have played over the last 29 years of their dictatorial rule. When they don’t like an opponent they stack up charges against them and use them as and when they need to: Morgan Tsvangirai, Roy Bennett etc.
Yet Zanu-pf ministers and thugs can rape, beat, steal, maim and murder country-wide with impunity. That all besides stealing an election time and again from the majority of Zimbabweans
