Reserve Bank Act to clip Gono’s wings – MDC thumbnail

Harare (ZimEye) – THE MDC led by Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has revealed that it would easily deal with Gideon Gono using a revised Reserve Bank Act.

Tsvangirai told journalists that the MDC could work with Gono because they can “manage and control him” through a revision of the Reserve Bank Act.

Finance Minister Tendai Biti has been calling for Gono’s ouster although President Mugabe said his personal banker “was going nowhere.”

The conclusion of the formation of the inclusive government is hanging due to the outstanding issues relating to Gono and Attorney General Johannes Tomana.

Service chiefs – army, Central Intelligence Officers, Police and Airforce commanders have also come in support of Gono.

Donors are holding to the much-needed aid because of Gono’s presence as the head of the RBZ. He was accused, on several occasions, of sponsoring Zanu-PF and Mugabe’s private trips. (ZimEye, Zimbabwe)

    Politics is about compromises, not principles. I want to see what excuse they have with respect to Tomana because like Gogo and Bobo, he is Nogo. When will Mogo wake up and realise that he is being used to perform Bobo’s resurrection in 2010.

    Why is Tsvangirai and Biti always having conflicting statements? Can anyone shaed this light for me.eg Biti= Gono must go:Tsvangirai= we can work with Gono and we all belong to the same Party?
