Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s spokesman Luke Tamborinyoka has regained full consciousness and is now responding even with his feet, it has been confirmed.

Tamborinyoka who was involved in a devastating car accident at the weekend while visiting his rural homestead in Domboshawa has fully regained consciousness amid reports also stating that his physical condition however complex, is not life threatening.

Tsvangirai’s minister of state in the PM’s office, Jameson Timba said:

“…His condition is improving. He is now conscious but can’t speak because of the gadgets around his face. He is responding to stimuli which means he can smile and recognise people.”

MDC supporters on social networking website Facebook celebrated relief for their presidential spokesman.

One supporter on the party’s Namibian profile penned a celebratory song Wednesday morning:

‘Leader  Luke Tamborinyoka slowly but surely recovering. Glory be to God.
“Simuka Ruka utiudze zvarehwa naSave, Shamarara Ruka uvaudze zvarehwa naSave . . . singing”.  ‘

now fully conscious...Luke Tamborinyoka

Earlier yesterday a close friend of Tamborinyoka’s, Kudakwashe Matibiri, also voiced that he had regained consciousness but was still unable to speak:
‘He can smile, respond to commands and move his limbs, especially the legs,’ he said.

The Zimbabwe Union of Journalists for which Tamborinyoka as a journalist has been a member, ZUJ, issued a word wishing speedy recovery:

“ZUJ would like to join the Tamborinyoka family government of Zimbabwe and the nation in wishing the Prime Minister’s spokesperson and former ZUJ secretary-general (Luke) Tamborinyoka a speedy recovery,” the organisation’s secretary-general Foster Dongozi quoted by Newsday said.
Tamborinyoka was seriously injured in a car crash on Sunday, when his 4—4 Toyota Prado overturned and rolled three times, in Domboshawa in an accident his two brothers, Ngonidzashe and Kelvin and two uncles, Milton and Cleopas escaped the scene with minor injuries.

I am looking for a chorus for my Bhora Musango slogan for June 2013:

    “Get from the fool
    Then kick out the ball
    Let them shout
    While you vote them out.

    Bring Bob’s well-wisher
    I need free IWISA”
    (repeat twice)

    This should end with:
    “Huyai nehama
    Tidye zvemarema vasikana”.

Please don’t be too harsh, this is still work in progress. My friend from Skyes is coming up with an appropriate Ndebele translation for the last bit.

The next phase is to trick the bottom-wriggling Zanu-funded Mbare choir to sing it on ZTV and the job is complete.

I plan to donate royalties to various charities in Zim. Many thanks.
