Harare:There was chaos and pandemonium Tuesday afternoon when a fire broke out at Roadport bus station gutting several cars in its way in a way that even the fire brigade could not salvage.
Initial reports coming to ZimEye state that the fire was caused by a burning tyre whose fire soon latched onto a patch of the vehicle which had open petrol liquids. The fire soon spread across the field area causing thick dark fumes to scatter filling up the airspace 160metres above ground.
When the fire service arrived, they did not have any water in their tanks. As the situation worsened, people were seen fleeing in terror at seeing the fast approaching fumes.

  4. “When the fire service arrived, they did not have any water in their tanks” – where did they think they were going just wasting fuel to be spectators? 33yrs of unmitigated incompetence and yet some people still want more of the same or replace with more of the same.

  5. this is sad. and where did the fire brigade think they were going without water? problem is these vehicles are used as personal vehicles and in order to cut down on fuel they are always empty ( water )nxaaa.
