‘Zimbabweans are xenophobic’ – OPINION thumbnail

Having lived in Zimbabwe for years before deciding to quit two years ago, I do not doubt that this story (Savage attack on Nigerian man by Zimbabwe immigration officers‏) may be true. For fellow commentators who are making xenophobic statements, I’m not surprised because I’ve known Zimbabweans for such. They should remember how they mal-treated South Africans during the time of Apartheid – the crocodiles they introduced in Zambezi river (above) to eat-up South Africans started feeding on them(Zimbabweans) as they troop in thousands to South Africa.

The once- rejected South Africa has become a haven of hope for them. Not only that,Botswana,Zambia,Malawi and Mozambique which were for them undeveloped” and “uncivilized” peoples have been playing host to them since the begining of the 21st century.Such xenophobic comments show that they have not learnt the “lesson of humanity” – that all men are brothers and should live as such.I left Zimbabwe because immigration officers kept extorting huge sums of money from us just to renew our permits.I found it too difficult to cope with even after making reports to higher authorities which proved abortive.

I want Zimbabweans to know that the cause of the sufferings they’ve been going through was just their inability to let the “milk of humanity” flow in their hearts – they failed to understand that we are all foreigners here on earth.Even as they are still scattered all over the world enjoying the brotherliness of other peoples, some of them have continued in their xenophobic behaviours. It’s quite unforturnate!Any comment to me should be sent to emmymagnus@yahoo.com

It is very unfortunate that the author of this article has resorted to lies to denigrate zimbabweans. I wish to draw their attention to “The Kevin Woods Story in the shadow of Mugabe’s gallows” This book was written by Woods himself who used to look after the South Africans in Zimbabwe during the apartheid era. We use to respect and sympathise with them because we had one common enemy, a master of divide and rule the Boer! Why would the author spread such lies about Zimbabweans. Our culture teaches us to look after our visitors more than anybody else! Your lies are so infuriating in that you paint a picture os every Zimbabwean being a politician which is just but a lie. Shame on you for being so hateful towards an innocent people. Your dislike of Zimbabwean politicians should not give you the green light to paint every zimbabwean with the same brush. Many a people who have been to Zimbabwe will definitely differ with you. I just hope your motive is not racist! That would be very unfortunate because it would mean that you are not conversant with the Zimbabwean history and social culture. It is people like you who divert attention from very important issues to trivial issues that are brought about by your own personal feelings towards a certain or rather a particular society. Shame on you.

The author of this article is a bitter disillusioned Nigerian who can’t even see beyond his own nose.

Shame on you for choosing to spread lies on our great nation. Yes our politics are bad, but we Zimbabweans are not the evil paint in this your daft draft.

Nigerians are the ones who are xenophobic, and this author is one of them.

A great Zimbabwean company, Econet entered Nigerian soil and provided millions with 1st world cellualr technology just before Nigerians kicked out the Bill Gates of Africa, Zimbabwe’s Strive Masiyiwa.

While we forgive, we will never FORGET Nigeria’s ill treatment of Africa’s richest entreprenuer, who also happens to be a Zimbabwean

  4. Emmy Magnus on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 1:55 am

Surely,Econet and its foreign workers were treated with kid gloves in Nigeria. That shows your ignorance of the history of Econet in Nigeria.Nigeria and Nigerians were in full support of Mr Strive Masiyiwa as a fellow African and a pioneer in the wireless communication industry. However,Nigeria is a free market economy. It simply means that companies hardly enjoy market monopoly for too long a time. The problem with Econet started with the advent of MTN which is also african. It out-competed Econet in consumer satisfaction. It displaced Econet at the top of cunsumer choice just as Econet did displace a few smaller ones when it first started.Due to fewer subscription and dwindling command of the market, financial problems arose and share-holders were sharply divided on the measures to be adopted.Court cases were initiated and the rest is history. For some of you who are attacking me for speaking the truth, kindly read the comments that follow this write-up:Savage Attack on Nigerian Man by Zimbabwean Immigration officers” There, you will see the “collective mind-set” of your people.I’ve got nothing against Zimbabwe. It is my second home and I’m still very proud of the great people of that country. However,we may not have any moral authority to condemn brutality, cruelty, discrimination, racism, xenophobia etc, when we not only condone but also approve of them in our own communities. What a double standard. Is that not hypocritic. How can Africans be treated like animals in the hand of fellow Africans and people will have the audacity to give their supports to such savagery.Whats the difference between such acts and aparthied or racism.
I’ve always made it clear that the problem with Zimbabweans is simply a “collective fear of the other” This manifests itself in a sort of “suicidal low-self esteem” and creates a society where people of other cultures are viewed as “unequal competitors” and looters.Untill we root-out this “virus”,Zimbabwe will keep having problems with foreigners.Of course, this is a hard truth and so very difficult to admit. We know that no country exists without one problem or the other.Nigeria too has it own problems. However,no other country in Africa can treat fellow Africans with such cruelty and still recieve the approval of its citizens.

The reason why immigration officers were milking money from is because you are corrupt and you don’t want to us the right channels when dealings with them. You want short carts and in life you’ll realize that short carts are the longest ways.Brother Nigerian, whatever source you used for your story?? It lacks authenticity. It is further disqauilified by the emotions you display. The fact that Zimbabwe is in a political crossroad does not mean we are bad. If you hate our leaders don’t generalize. But get this dear brother… IF YOU FIND THAT NIGERIANS ARE BEING MISTREATED ELSEWHERE ITS BECAUSE YOU PEOPLE ARE CORRUPT AND ZIMBOZ DO NOT TAKE KINDLY TO THAT.YOU ARE THIEVES, EMBEZZLERS,FRAUDSTERS AND THUGS.We know that there is corruption in Zimbabwe but we try not to limit its levels. But you guys when you come here you want to show us that money speaks the universal language-which is not alwayz true

  6. Proud Zimbabwean on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 8:58 am

    I. Nigerians are corrupt period
    2. Can you give a company where Nigerians are employed be it in Zimbabwe or in South Africa
    3. I always find Nigerians roaming the streets day and night and wonder what business they do in the middle of the night. I was born and bred in Zimbabwe the truth is Zimbabweans are nice people expecially to foreigners. They might hate each other as Ndebeles and Shonas but have never hated people from other countries. The author goes on to say we planted crocodiles in the rivers that shows how shallow minded the writer is. South African never came in numbers to Zimbabwe during the said time so why would we plant the reptiles????. The writer now makes me start hating Nigerians.During my stay in South Africa for the past 20 years i have never met a Nigerian national looking for a job, but i see them in numbers in street corners right in the middle of the night what will they be doing? I would not have aproblem if they are hated because they don’t help in the develpment of the countries they flock to. I can’t talk about Nigeria as a country coz i have never been there and i will never even dream of going there. I am not saying the writer did not suffer from the officals of Zimbabwe but that was just an isolated incident so don’t generialise things.

  7. Emmy Magnus on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 10:28 am

Truth is always bitter and I do not expect that you swallow it without first trying to reject it.That Zimbabweans are xenophobic is never negotiable. And thats just the bane of Zimbabwe since the early 20th century.I want you to hate Nigerians the more.Of course they are a very enterprising folk. The problem with you is that you will never want to see somebody else do that which you cannot do.You have the tendency always to appropriate that which someone else has worked for.Becuase of your inferiority complex, you easily feel that foreigners are out-competing you in everything.Yes,Nigerians are corrupt, they roam the streets at night but still many of your people at home earn salaries from their hands. How many people have you ever paid salaries? What do you do in South Africa – car theft, prostitution, armed robbery, drugs? Is it not better for one to roam the streets than engage in prostitution or car theft? I’m sorry if the tone of my reaction hurts but thats the way you want it.Evil is evil no matter who is involved. That a foreigner was savagely treated by Zimbabwean Immigration police should attract your condenmnation not approval. So I’m right when I say that Zimbabweans are xenophobic!

  8. Proud Zimbabwean on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 10:50 am

I still have a problem with what you just wrote now. Prostitution with who? Nigerians of course.Go to hilbrow and see who buys these prostitutes, go to point in Durban, the thing is i don’t know where you are writing from? For your own info i am a proffessinal working in SA. Yes i agree there are some Zimbabweans who are part of these armed robberies but its a few and i don’t condon what they do, they must be rounded up and locked in jails, if i knew who they are honestly i would report them to the police. Now you seem to be happy with your country men roaming the streets at night doing what?????. Nigerians are allover the world guess what they are there not to work but to sell drugs that you know. They might be educated but that does not give them the rights to sell life threaghtening drugs. You ask a 4 year old child about drugs believe you me they will associate that with Nigerians. they might have the money as you claim yes but getting from illegal dealings are you proud of that. They might not be xenophobic that i don’t know as i have not been exposed to that myself though i know it happens in almost all countries. Even in first world countries. You go to UK you will find it i am not saying its right but you seem to single out Zimbabwe as the pioniers of this. You got it wrong my friend. What will Zimbabwean be protecting if they were to hate foreigners they don’t have money as you have rightfully said so. They are poor and its not their fault they happen to be caught in the system. You can blame them for not voting for the right people yes granted but with time that will change.Nigerian are corrupt thats a fact. They are not welcome in most countries its a fact and you know it why????????? I can go on and on but you know the truth.

  9. Tofty on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 11:00 am

We Zimbabweans should listen carefully when a foreigner criticizes us. We should be more introspective. If we cannot be so, it’s no wonder we are failing to resolve our own internal problems. It’s correct for us to say that we are friendly because a lot of foreigners say so. But if we have manifestations of our own xenophobia we must have enough shame to debate about how we can improve.

  10. Emmy Magnus on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 11:16 am

Mr Thabani,I’m sorry the way my write-up hurts you but thats the taste of truth.Although you are taking it too personal,I’m not a person that can easily be cowed. You must have noticed that from the tone of my comments. All the reactions I’ve been recieving from Zimbabweans (especilly yourself) only demonstrate that fact- that they are xenophobes. Why do your people spend all your efforts trying to prove what everyone knows already – that they are xenophobes. Why is it that no one has used this medium to condenm the savage acts of your immigration police towards a foreigner in your country.Remember that that report was made not by a Nigerian but by your own brother but all your people could do was to doubt it and to make xenophobic remarks.I’m,therefore, right when I say that you are xenophobic!

  11. Chiedza on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 12:12 pm

Dear, dear Emmy do I sense a tinge of Xenophobia in you too ????

  12. Emmy Magnus on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 12:26 pm

You seem not to follow the current trend of things,Zimbabweans are not welcome in most countries of the world today.I’ve been to Hilbrow a thousand and one times,I did my Pgd and masters degree in South Africa. So I know as much as you do about what happens there. There you find the largest number of Zimbabweans. What are they doing there? Yes Nigerians are all over the world selling drugs, thats something to be condenmed but thats better than engaging in armed-robbery and bank fraud- haven’t you read about Sony Chibuwe and his one million pounds fraud in the UK.Its much better than car theft and prostitution.I dont want to know who patronizes them.Go to China,Zimbabwean women (even those with kids) are also prostituting. What of the streets of Harare, are those who stand there at night being patronized by Nigerians? Why dont you spend your time condenming the savage treatment given to a foreigner by the zimbabwean immigration police.I think that will be more beneficial than trying to rub shoulders with me!

  13. Emmanuel Dube on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 12:46 pm

Iwe Magnus, where did you read that thing you are saying about Sony Chibuwe?

i think its sad that Emmy thinks a few immigration officials represent Zimbabwe. Can she also tell us when and how did Zimbabweans suddenly put crocodiles in the Zambezi. i think she should go to geography class and stop watching too many nigerian movies

  15. Dagmar on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 1:59 pm

Magnus just a sick jealous factless and disgruntled monster with a bone to chew. Fact, and like it or not, Zimbabweans have been rated one of the friendliest people under the sun

This whole debate is a total disgrace. No nation is perfect. In every nation there are always some elements of people who are social misfits. So if we will use those elements to define a country then we are doing gross injustice to our fellow brothers int’l. Now the worst societal misfits are non-other than the very people involved in this scathing war of words, unaware that they are fueling hatred and intolerance amongst fellow Africans. Don’t prove your point, we don’t delight in your learnedness. We need you to build & nurture Africa to be a better continent tomorrow. SOME PEOPLE ARE SCHOOLED AND OTHERS ARE EDUCATED. Where are you???

Does RSA offer pgd? When did they start? I know UK offers pgd, but not south africa? Is a pdg the same as a Phd?

I thought crocodiles were always in the Limpopo as the old poem about the great green greasy limpopo says. When were they introduced? Was there a ceremony and celebration to mark the occassion?

  18. Anonymous on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 2:49 pm

Emmy below is an abstact from Rudyard Kipling when he talks of crocodiles in the Limpopo. He died 1936. It appears crocodiles were already in the river. Did something happen so that they had to be re-introduced or was it a special brand that went after South Africans only.

I went to Harare Polytechnic with South Africans during the apartheid time. They were all coming from Tanzania to operate closer to home. I remember the concerts with Paul Simon at Rufaro stadium all in aid of South Africa and how the beitbridge border opened 24 hours (I guess the limpopo was crowded) so that all the South Africans could attend. I also remember Tracy Chapman, Bruce Springsteen amongst others also coming for another concert to fight apartheid. Same thing happened – border opened 24 hours. I guess you were not in Zimbabwe otherwise I am sure you would have spoken of the concerts, the bombs (Avondale shopping centre and a flat along rotten row). All this in aid of the apartheid cause. Being a masters student, I am sure you would neve write an an balanced article without research. A masters student knows such a thing is not done, as it reflects badly on their college and on their own academic qualification.

    Cheers. Enjoy the article below:

The Limpopo was immortalized in the short story “The Elephant’s Child” by British author Rudyard Kipling, in the Just So Stories, where it is described as “the great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees,” where the “Bi-Coloured Python Rock-Snake” dwells.[4]

By and by, when that was finished, he came upon Kolokolo Bird sitting in the middle of a wait-a-bit thorn-bush, and he said, ‘My father has spanked me, and my mother has spanked me; all my aunts and uncles have spanked me for my ’satiable curtiosity; and still I want to know what the Crocodile has for dinner!’

Then Kolokolo Bird said, with a mournful cry, ‘Go to the banks of the great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees, and find out.’

That very next morning, when there was nothing left of the Equinoxes, because the Precession had preceded according to precedent, this ’satiable Elephant’s Child took a hundred pounds of bananas (the little short red kind), and a hundred pounds of sugar-cane (the long purple kind), and seventeen melons (the greeny-crackly kind), and said to all his dear families, ‘Goodbye. I am going to the great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees, to find out what the Crocodile has for dinner.’ And they all spanked him once more for luck, though he asked them most politely to stop.

Then he went away, a little warm, but not at all astonished, eating melons, and throwing the rind about, because he could not pick it up.

He went from Graham’s Town to Kimberley, and from Kimberley to Khama’s Country, and from Khama’s Country he went east by north, eating melons all the time, till at last he came to the banks of the great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees, precisely as Kolokolo Bird had said.

Emmy you are one bad girl, look at all these emotions that you have sitrred up, are you helping this world be a better place by fuelling hate yourself if you see that there is a problem with Zimbos this is not the way to change them, Lungi you’re right, people please don’t waist your time on this petty debate.

  20. Emmy Magnus on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 3:52 pm

I think the problem with most people who have posted their comments following my write-up is “narrow-mindedness” I only see a people who keep pursuing shadows while leaving the substances. We have to condenm brutality and savagery rather than engaging in fruitless arguments. All these arguments will never justify the fact that to approve of brutality places one in the same page of history with the likes of Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. It also goes to solidify my point – that Zimbabweans are xenophobes period!

  21. Anonymous on Mon, 19th Oct 2009 4:04 pm

no one supports brutality emmy. no one supports lies either. stick to facts and truth, – a nigerian was beaten up and its wrong yes – and you will get support for your cause. Lie (introduction of crocodiles in limpopo, south africans crossing the border and not finding a helping hand) and people will start to question every single word you say.

Oh I have never seen such a selfish person like the author of this document. Oh Nigerians a corrupt nation, when will you ever, ever learn that you are corrupt, you want to reap where you did not sow, you want to enjoy the fruits of hard sweat and labour of others all in the name of goodwill. But how is this done, through corrupt and deceitful means, you will always try by all means to portray, point fingers to others as if at faulty where as the opposite is true.

Oh my fellow Zimbabweans sons and daughters of the soil, a great nation a beautiful which I am absolutely proud of, which I am not ashamed of today wherever I go to lift up its flag and shout on a loud voice that I am a Zimbabwean and our fundamental principles will not be detected by a foreigner like him/her the author of this document.

Equal the same here I am standing on a mountain summit shouting on a loud voice, here I am carrying I am carrying a gong I am making a lot of noisy, here I am I’m blowing the horn loudly so that you could listen and hear, you nation the drafters of the scam document 419, who has robbed nations of their hard earned cash, you drafters of fake documents when I went to South Africa I didn’t know of the fake i.d and passports till I was introduced to a Nigerian, you hackers of phone lines, you creators of fake companies, drug dealers, what of these (my father’s churches we see) and here you are still opening you big/small/medium mouth, defending your silly acts. Sorry my people,I think it’s time to go back and lick your wounds having been badly beaten. Why cry like babies? You are xenophobes period! All your comments only demonstrate it beyond every doubt.I’ve just listed but a few of the “celebrated” crimes of Zimbabweans in the last few months. For those who still have the audacity to talk, check how many of your guys are in jail in the UK,USA,Canada,Australia and New Zealand. The list is endless and I think that should be enough to make you bury your heads in shame. What are u still defending? From what I’ve gathered in the last four days,my research on your social psychology is almost exact.Zimbabweans are possessed with a “collective fear of the other” This manifests itself in the form of a “suicidal low-self esteem” and makes them so short-sighted that foreigners are viewed as “looters” or “unequal competitors”.Majority are still living the philosophy of Jean Paul Satre’s “hell is the other person”.Untill we are able to learn the rudimentary lessons of humanity – that foreigners are not just “others” but necessary partners in the globalised humanity,Zimbabwe,I mean Zimbabweans will ever be seen as xenophobes!

Unfortunately this issue has become very personal. It is very sad that we have stooped so low as to justify the above article with a response. All I will have to say to the author is that they are entitled to their own opinion. If my memory serves me right I believe you were involved in illegal activities and your loot was appropriated legally according to the law of the country hence the bitterness. you cannot expect to be arrested for operating illegally just because of who you are and where you come from. Yes the law will fall heavily on you. Whatever profits you made illegally will be taken by the state so if you call it looting then please go ahead and sue.

  32. VaChiwashira on Tue, 20th Oct 2009 12:30 pm

You can’t expect not to be accountable for such illegal activities because of who you are and where you come from. The immigration officers are civil servants who work according to the statutes of the law and they try to follow it to the book.Regardless of whether Emmy will vent his/her frustrations in the press or not. The fact that you were there for over 5 years tells a lot about the hospitality of the Zimbabwean people. Your brush with the law has got nothing to do with society in general. I’m impressed with the way you keep statistics of individuals criminal activities it shows a lot about you than the people who have been convicted of crimes. Try and be productive in a positive manner. Point scoring will never get you anywhere. Just as a reminder you have Biafra, Ogoni, Bini, MEND, to mention just but a few of the Nigerian people who are still being persecuted by their own people. It is easy to notice peck in one’s eye when you have a log in yours. These are not your issues personally but they are happening in Nigeria. I will never generalise and paint every Nigerian with the same brush! If you do not mind you can send me an email and discuss these issues as sane people.

As evidenced by your article you purpote to have lived in Zimbabwe for many years, you did not narrate any account of xenophobic activities that happened to you. It seems just like us Zimbabweans living the country because of economic hardships and you followed suit, nobody chased you because you are Nigerian. We have not heard of Nigerians being burnt or driven by the local population or state orchestrated violence en mass.
It is hard to condemn or condone actions of immigration officers, because they seem to be the same everywhere. Once you leave your motherland you are at their mercy whether you are in Zimbabwe, America, Britain or even your beloved Nigeria. I feel sorry for the poor man if this had happened to him.
Zimbabweans did not introduce crocodiles in the Zambezi, that accusation you can make it to God who created them. I don’t think Zimbabweans are that sophisticated to train crocodiles to have a special diet of South Africans only. If crocodiles’ were aimed at South Africans, this should have been done in the Limpopo River which borders Zimbabwe and South Africa not Zambezi which shows your lack of local knowledge. Which part of Zimbabwe were you in if any? It is evidence that most of the current South African leadership seek shelter in Zimbabwe and many other African states during apartheid which gives them a more sympathetic ear to some African leaders and causes. It is worth nothing that some South Africans mostly white perceived to be Apartheid Agents had a rough ride in Zimbabwe at the same time.
As for corruption and theft there are a few bad apples from Zimbabwe who tarnish the country image as well as many from Nigeria. I challenge you where ever you are to take your Zimbabwean brother/sister and walk down the street and state where you come from and see who will get a frost reception.

It is worth noting that there are economic hardships and the break of law in Zimbabwe criminals and bad people take the opportunity to mistreat others taking advantage of the situation. I pray things will come to normal again where we will all live like brothers again without fear.

  34. talk back on Tue, 20th Oct 2009 2:29 pm

Those crocodiles mentioned where not put by black zimbabweans. but by whites during the liberation war to prevent africans crossing to join the struggle. Check your history ‘Mag-whateva’.

As for xenophobic? Y? becoz a nigerian was beaten up by govt officials. the same ‘officals’ who brutally rape, torture & kill locals. The same ‘officials’ most right thinking zimbabweans want to leave power.

Surely u have not been living in zimbabwe!

Oh! Nigerians are fraudstars as some of you have opined,ok!However, there’s every indication that Zimbabweans are championing it today. You are breaking new grounds in criminal activities all over the world. The very first case of family homicide in the UK involves a Zimbabwean woman or you haven’t heard of Sandra Mujuru.Check the list,Zimbabwean guys are now at the top of the list of Britain’s greatest financial frauds in history. There are so many celebrated crimes of the “first-in-history” category involving them. Therefore, when it comes to issues of criminal activities round the globe, you do not possess even an iota of moral crdibility again.Zimbabwe is rated one of the most corrupt nations in the world today and of course the highest rate of inflation ever to be imagined since the fall of Adam.I’m sure yu are aware of all these. We are criminals, yet at your independence Nigeria offered you people the sum of USD20 million to train Zimbabwean professionals both in Zimbabwe and as expatriates in Nigerian universities and colleges. Are most of your seasoned civil servants not graduates of the renowned Administrative Staff College of Nigeria,Badagry. Are many of the Zimbabwean honoured career soldiers not graduates of the famous Nigerian Defence Academy,Kaduna. What else, was the very first newspaper company to be owned by Zimbabwe not bought from South Africans with financial aid from Nigeria. Moreover, has Zimbabwe not benefited so much from the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps. Some of them are still high profile professors in your universities even when most of their Zimbabwean colleagues have deserted the country for greener pastures elsewhere. What have we got in return:Zimbabwe championed the cause of expelling Nigeria from the Commonwealth in 1995;savage and inhuman treatment of Nigerians living in Zimbabwe;xenophobic attacks on foreigners especially Nigerians;wanton attack on the properties of Nigerians in your country. Now I dare ask you to mention just one thing Zimbabwe has done for Nigeria since your independence. You are ingrates. That very character of biting the finger that fed you runs in your blood.Did Nigeria not throw its diplomatic weight behind Zimbabwe during the war of its independence.Today, you have come to learn that Nigerians are doing illegal businesses in your country.I’ve said it before and it needs to be repeated that”Zimbabweans have (engraved in their inner being) the character of appropriating for themselves what others have long laboured for” Check the history of a lot of the business buildings in Harare to confirm it.I dare ask again to show what Zimbabwe has ever done for other countries?

now listen you nigerian makwereres u can say zimbabweans are in south africa botswana its because they are our neighbours since the colonial wars we have been in support of each other its u who has a problem go to ghana or any of your neighbours why travel all the way down south and besides if zimbabwe is as bad as you discribed it why are you here you even gave us names of zimbabwean criminals good but were are the nigerian names so that we can compare and contrast who is a criminal to a greater extent.Who among africans pioneered e-fraud on the internet called yahooze its nigerians and did you even bother to investigate why the man was hit so hard by the boys its because you guys suffer from oral dysentry as is shown by the e mail you sent me which i replied and showed you your position on the zimbabwean radar if stay in zimbabwe is a problem pliz go back to abuja or lagos were ever you emanate from and live us with our problems who said we need a nigerian voice to mediate in our issues we dont thats why mbeki and zuma come to mediate and you are also on record saying that most of zimbabwe s careered service chiefs trained in nigeria you are wrong zimbabweans at independence trained in romania, pakistan some in the UK the likes of shiri and sibanda and the north koreans even came to train a unit of brigade size.Croccs in the limpopo river were put there by whites to prevent UMK and ZIPRA cadres from interacting and carrying out attacks on the whites in Rhodesia and South Africa i dnt see the sense in anything that you have written so far go and do your history the comeback later lice infested harlot

Zimbabweans are one of the most peace loving and tolerant people on planet earth. Do not label all citizens as xenophobs simple because of utterances of its leaders. They do not necessarily always speak on behalf of the nation but themselves. You speak on a Nigerian being beaten by officers; one incident labels a country of over 15 million citizens xenophobic. If you have another agenda to push against Zimbabwe come out clearly; but this is a total lie and you know it. How many foreigners have had complain about treatment in this nation? Many foreigners live better lives in Zim than they do in their own countries and do business here unhindered; whats the basis of your opinion?
