A UK journalist is living in fear after receiving several threats from British heavyweight boxer Derrick Chisora’s men over a video interview which showed the disgraced boxer behaving inappropriately in front of the King of Butter Grooves, Alick Macheso.
ZimEye can also exclusively reveal that Chisora has been telephoning journalists, trying to muzzle them from revealing his violent and uncouth behaviour which he displayed in Macheso’s  presence.
Journalist, Eugene Majuru who was interviewing Macheso when Chisora forced his way through and violently pushed away her video camera at the scene, has disclosed her ordeal after receiving threatening text messages.
“I am really scared about the next upcoming show I am attending as they obviously know I will be there. This man could easily attack me”, she told ZimEye.

threatening....Derrick Chisora

Chisora ‘s spokesman, Bongani Ntibane, confirmed issuing these threats on the innocent journalist.
ZimEye has tracked several messages back to Chisora’s spokesman which Ntibane who is also known as Bongani Siziba, acknowledged.
One of the messages reads:
“Hi Eugene. I spoke to you on Monday about Chisora issue. He has just informed me that the video is on Youtube and wants it taken down immediately or edited so that he does not appear on it. He said you do not have his consent. Failure to do so will mean engaging our solicitors. I am available on this number as my battery is flat. Will call when I get home. Bongani,”
Another sms soon after this incident, stated:
“You have an hour to take it down or else you will deal with the law….”
Chisora’s spokesman also attempted to force ZimEye to remove an article which he falsely claimed was siting on our news resource server, also revealing that several journalists had been telephoned in the same manner in order to force them into submission so that favourable articles were published.
Ntibane who it is claimed, is also in the teaching profession, even threatened our editors at a point stating:
“If you just write something bad…”
When the incident in question took place, Chisora soon lied that he had granted the journalist permission to interview for ten minutes, but in the video recording he is seen stating never having granted permission for an interview.

Violent History
Although Chisora has achieved heights in British boxing, his violent and criminal past has tended to haunt him and his behaviour in Macheso’s presence has left a big dent on his reputation.
A blogger has narrated his history which is marred with various criminal charges:
During his amateur career Chisora had about 20 fights, winning a Four Nations gold and the 2006 ABA super heavyweight title, something we are all proud of.
Chisora turned professional on 17 February 2007, after recording a second round technical knock out against Istvan Kecskes.
Chisora’s controversy began in November 2010, when he was found guilty of assaulting his then-girlfriend after finding text messages on her phone from another man.
He narrowly escaped being sent to prison, when he was given a 2 year suspended prison sentence. He was also ordered to pay £1 500 in compensation and £500 costs and complete 150 hours community service.
The court was told that the fighter also had previous convictions for public order offences, assaulting a police officer and having in his possession an offensive weapon.

Additionally, he has been involved in several brawls and violent behaviour that has tarnished his reputation.

  1. Is he a boxer or a street fighter?he shld come home ndiko kune team ino kiya not to threaten ma Camera man mhani, imhata iyo!

  2. Zanupf and its members are a peaceful party. To date we have suffered negative publicity from sellouts alike and in this harsh environment our party has prevailed. This Dereck Chisora clearly was trained at Harvest house and now he is taking his new skills to another level in the streets of london. I said before and I say it again MDC is violent and Chisora is their main propagator.

  3. bvisa video or else wamamiswa kuyi uploader pa you tube kuonererwa runing to reporters will not help you mukoma Derick vanokuzadza mbama bvunza KLITSKO hahahahahaha

  4. Zoos nanzva mushe iwe dofo, success doesn’t mean manhandling others in public. Respect is earned and not imposed. zimeye simply reported an issue. this is a report of public interest. vana zoos pfungwa shoma dzinopa basa kunyama. Chisora is thinking like a dinosaur. Public misconduct is never justifiable at all. Zoos back to school hama.

  5. Chisora haanyare. his behaviour was barbaric. Veduwee endesayi vana kuchikoro, kana O level zvayo ukaipasa zvinobatsira. Chizora (zvidu) is a national disgrace.

  6. Ridiculous. If Chisora had rights well then he was supposed to have finesse. He should not take the law into his own hands. Like I said, he should return to school and get O level and then A level and the University education to think like a man and reason to match the demands of this world we live in. By behaving like a jungle barbarian, we see so much of his true colours. He had started well but like the say you can take him out of the jungle but never the jungle out of him. Zimbabwe what a long distance ahead of us?? Here is the list:
    Roki-chauvinist, abuses women
Decibel-pub crawler (as said by ex-wife)
Peter Ndlovu-sows wild oats-doesn’t want to pay child support and look at where he is now after Coventry.
The list is endless we Zimbos have lots of talent but once we taste the sample we feel we are good to go. Leave home wanting to buy a car and meet a wheelbarrow sample, buy it and return home. That’s who we are. Kofi is still a wretsler in Boston, doesn’t beat up street people because he is educated andhas a career to pursue. Wha a shame ZZimbabwe!

  7. People hamunyare, munotonyadzisa… leave the young dude to do his thing. He has made a name for himself here in the first world in UK. He has done well in his boxing for someone coming from Zimbabwe.
Indeed there was no need for the interview before notifying the promoter. How can that be justified kungotanga mainterview without the promoter knowing. Thats rubbish and nowonder mazimbabweans dont go anyway or prosper. Having time to publish this rubbish just to tarnish someone’s name. And remember this is what happened to Benjani, after making all the sacrifices and committment. Some people hate and are jealous of other people’s success especially Zimbabweans. Its a shame. Instead of lifting the guy up so that he can do more and fly the Zimbabwean map high, we are there to burn the map and the man himself. Leave the dudes to do their things and stop wasting resources publishing things that don’t carry any weight at someone else’s expense.
Chisora keep it real bruf and dont listen to this junk. You got it and you have made it to the highest. Otherwise don’t waste your time and money doing these promotion business with Zimbabweans. Invest you wealth in other better things and after all most promotions here in UK are conman and do this business for quick money which they end up messing up artists and not paying them well. So really whoever published this. Should think twice and hope who don’t put off some financial giants who are willing to this business properly and professionally.

  8. In the clip This Derek guy refused to be recorded and warn the journo to stop and he or she persisted despite the warning, as far as I am concerned that justified him pushing the camera out of his face. Secondly there are promoter rights, it costs money to bring an artist and band to the UK, why should he let these journalist reap where they didn’t sow without prior consent. so if Chisora was part of the promotion team he is well within his rights to stop the interview to protect the promoters interest.

  9. I agree with you Juju, these journalists are taking the issue of Chisoradog too far. He is feeling offended with those videos and feels the courts can settle the matter should there be a stalemate and is that a threat? Typical of mdc crybabies now here is one of your monyaz wrecking havoc in your master’s land, what shall you say Gaygodzva, Baba vembwa and that gay calling himself gracedog? Yes, it rymes, MUKADOG = CHISORA

  11. the kuornalists are the ones behaving like cowboys. why does being reported to the law sound a threat? varikuita zvisina basa vanhu ava, dai kuri kuno tairova tobvarura zvimacamera izvo.

  12. Ngaauye kuno timuite wastak isu vana papa wemba.Kana zvibhakera zvanetsa we bringout iron bars and lastly guns we exchange with starved ZNA oficers fo a poultry $20.

  13. Very unprofessional, both from Chisoragay and his spokesman Bongay. This failed boxer is venting his frustrations for the knockouts he received from David Haye in the ring. His only claim to fame is that he wasn’t knocked out by Klitchko, but still lost dismally. I was even rooting for him then as a fellow Zimbabean trying to make it out there but now seeing as he is a totally shameful baastard, he has lost the respect and support of anybody whoever cared. Chimbwasungata chinotinyadzisa ku over seas, he is fit to be a green bomber nothing else!

  14. Dereck ndoda kukutengera ticket uuye kuzopedzera shungu pandiri. Varume vane zvivindi vakasimba fanika iwewe ndovandinoda ini. Dikembe Mutombo M.D, the NBA star from DRC, Engineer Luo Deng, NBA from Sudan? Sorry Zimbabwe. Long road ahead vana Roki too much women abuse go back to high school and learn manners and goodPR.
