Drama as Chombo Reverses Harare Town Clerk’s Suspension

There was drama when the Minister of Local Government, Ignatius Chombo reversed the suspension of Harare City Council Clerk, Tendai Mahachi.
The development announced Saturday, within 48 hours of Mahachi having been suspended by the sitting mayor for his role in failing to provide the mayor with a full schedule of the local authority’s top management salaries.
Local Government Minister Ignatius Chombo on Saturday used his political muscle and lifted the suspension of city of Harare town Clerk Dr Tendai Mahachi by the Harare Mayor Mayor Bernard Manyenyeni on Thursday over salary issues. The drama followed when Chombo claimed that mayor Manyenyeni who belongs to the MDC-T party had accepted Mahachi’s apology. This Manyenyeni disputed. (See audio)
Chombo and Manyenyeni however clashed in front of reporters at his government offices when the minister said they had agreed to reverse the suspension of Dr Mahachi.
Dr Mahachi was suspended when Dr Chombo was in Zambia for government business.

  20. Chombo is not a very articulate person, and is a liar too,with a new government looming around the horizon, l can see this man going to prison. Mahachi has a case to answer hence Zimbabwean people wants to see him remain on suspension to facilitate investigations.

Thank you mupfanha, many people think Chombo is Chombo as in weapon, no no no.He is a Malawian, and these Malawian are proving to have no heart, unlike their fathers who came here working in mines and farms.Research we have done shows and proves that the most notorious CIOs used to murder innocent civilians are sons of foreigners, especially MalawiansIts not that people hate them, no.They must desist from this tendency of making bloody money.Chombo has no heart.He doesn’t care because the majority is not his relatives.
