EXCLUSIVE:Chamisa To Replace Tsvangirai In New ‘Russian Plot’ To Remove Mugabe
7 October 2013

part1, part 1Is Russia’s President Vladimir Putin assisting Morgan Tsvangirai to remove Robert Mugabe in 2018? ZimEye can exclusively reveal that Morgan Tsvangirai is in a move to handover power in a classical Vladimir Putin-inspired strategy to defeat Robert Mugabe by appointing young populist Nelson Chamisa as his successor.
What then will happen to Tendai Biti now who was long promised he would be President on Tsvangirai’s departure?
Chamisa who is 35 at present, will be exactly 40 years old during the next elections in 2018 making him the best fit to challenge Robert Mugabe who will be a 94 year old nonagenarian at that time.
Why Chamisa is key to a takevoer from Tsvangirai? The strategy already openly discussed at other times during the Grace Kwinjeh-Simba Makoni fracas when it was initially named “Agenda 2016,” is to handover to Chamisa this year in preparation for the 2018 elections with the hope that the young darling after reviving the party will later play a Medevedev loyale in the year 2023. There are several reasons why Chamisa has risen to become a top favourite. He is highly educated, knows how to control his mouth, has relations to top army personnel, and is a cross party favourite, and a cross cultural darling of nearly every urban Zimbabwean to date.

10 Years for Tsvangirai as President of Zimbabwe
To date Chamisa has already revealed his own plan to retain Tsvangirai as MDC leader for a further two terms. He recently told ZimEye in an exclusive interview that Tsvangirai will without question be given a further 10 years to rule the MDC as President of Zimbabwe whenever that is possible. Through this Putin-Medvedev torpedo, the MDC party will be saved from a total fall away and be able to defeat ZANU PF, it is hoped. The leadership line-up allegedly involves Chamisa as President, Douglas Mwonzora as Secretary General, and Obert Gutu as spokesperson. Said Chamisa, “Once president Tsvangirai gets into government, we then start counting – But in government, not in the party.”
At this juncture, our reporter then asked “What if you never make it into government?,”
Chamisa replied: “But that’s an assumption. We cannot work on an assumption…”

Is he really a snake?
He is however rumoured to have risen to Tsvangirai’s bosom via treachery and top MDC cadres label him a snake which has spent time spying on other officers (including Tendai Biti) to Tsvangirai allegedly earning him the title: serpent.
“The snakes, cups, and the kitchens, have ravaged our party”, one top MDC cadre who is chairman for Manicaland, Julius Magaramombe voiced recently also referring to other officials who are in a tag team with Chamisa. When contacted by ZimEye on these allegations, Chamisa did not answer a word but deflected the whole discussion resorting to talk about how popular his party has become and how it is recruiting journalists for parliamentary posts.

Going for the horns of power...Nelson Chamisa
Reaching for the horns of power…Nelson Chamisa

A true Christian
But whichever way, Chamisa is an automatic successor to Tsvangirai because of this powerful ‘Putin-Medvedev’ relationship with the latter. In Russia, Dmitry Medvedev was President Vladimir Putin’s handpicked successor, who became President in 2008, only to handover power back to Putin at the end of his term.russian_plot-PNG
Chamisa as ‘a principled Christian’ will likely help to reinvent Tsvangirai’s battered public image due to the latter’s immoral escapades with various women which has been a major speculated reason for the MDC-T’s fall from grace as a party-whole. To date there is no record of Chamisa being weak on moral grounds and it is believed this will play well into the party’s favour. While being popular across several age groups, he is also popular with many in ZANU PF and carries a sting of favour with the majority of Christians whichever party they are. On his Facebook profile, Chamisa daily splatters Bible scriptures which are constantly followed by hundreds of amen responses.

“A Dreadful Mistake”
But top political analyst and University of Huddersfield Lecturer, Dr Nkululeko Sibanda has said placing Chamisa as head of the MDC-T may actually be a dreadful mistake and will rather cause greater divisions which will rope in Secretary General Tendai Biti who has for years been tipped to take over from Tsvangirai creating a silent faction under his own name.
“Tsvangirai will be naive to think that Chamisa will give back to him like Medvedev,” said Sibanda.
He added: “Chamisa is more ambitious than Medvedev. He is extremely ambitious he will build his own empire and whether or not he will have a lot of respect I don’t know but putting Chamisa and Mwonzora is fanatically stupid. Mwonzora can’t be a leader he needs to be led. Mwonzora makes no sense,” said Sibanda.
He also added:
“It is weakening the party more than in one way. What they needed to do was to find somebody who is external to the factions that are within the MDC now and try to build that person into the party which was going to be difficult, but to strengthen one faction over the other is just to weaken the party even further.”

  1. This story is neither here nor there. MDC as a party does not have a political strategy. That is why their slogan is “Chinja.” Change is not change if you are replacing the old guard with a “new old guard!”
What we need in Zimbabwe is a group of self sufficient individuals championing the cause of the povo. Not people who join the gravy train as soon as they jump on board and go back to the povo just before elections.
    BETTER MUST COME!!!

  2. Zanu pf ichachema nemaChembere ayo as MDC-T brings new blood. They betrayed the people since the 1980s and now re-colonized the country replacing a White Colonizer with a Black Colonizer. Instead of sharing the country’s wealth equally and open up the political play field, they are now worse than Ian Smith. Unless they rig or kill people, or bar Diaspora vote, Zanu pf know it can not win any election in Zim any day any year. They know it its not a secret.

  3. If he’s a snake then he got game. You almost certainly have to be one to succeed in politics

  4. Exy u must stop this obsession with tsvangirai. He has done his part but now he is failing. The continuos split of mdc under him is a failure. While he is a man worth giving credit for the role he has played so far he lacks the qualities of a leader who can unite the party. The mdc split into factions discouraged the electorate and made them to think zanu pf is much better. I agree wth u zanu pf rigged all other elections but the most recent one loss of the mdc t was a true loss. Im no madhuku fan coz I havnt bn following him. If he can form a party that that can unite people he wl be a much better option anyway. In order to save mdc all the factional groupings must come together and fight as one force. Tsvangirai and other faction leaders must stop disrespecting one another and disregarding party constitution. Leadershp must never be imposed but it must be an elected leadership. No one must ever think they own a party as if it were some profit making business to enrich themselves. All that mdc t , mdc ncube, etc is rubbish. It should just be called mdc. Greedy causes disunity and is a recipe for loosing a loyal electorate.

  5. We all fear the death of democracy. We have seen Zanu Pf paying 10million$ to Nikuv . The mother fkers never love anyone even themselves.

  6. I pray this is not true. The reporter alludes to Chamisa being a darling of the urbanites and being highly educated!! This is crazy. Chamisa is noone’s darling and is not highly educated. Zimbabwe has thousands highly educated people. Chamisa is eloquent but that doesnt mean being educated or presidential material. MDC T continually embarrasses itself with some unheard of strategies. How can MT even dream of annointing Chamisa as his replacement. Biti and Khuphe are useless? Is he agreeing that the pre-election factions were a reality? If this is true then it shows how MT has destroyed this once great party from 2005 with his recklessness, dictatorship and perception of owning it. A leader is chosen by the people and not installed by an outgoing failure!! What success has he had to give himself the mandate to appoint another successful leader? His strategy will fail in the same way he failed to use his 4 year premier stint to dislodge Mugabe.

  7. gh wagara hausi we Mdc t anywhere former yako saMadhuku hapana anokurambidza but Mdc t will remain behind MT and uchasvoda..Zanu takairova 2008 ikaita mwaka ichibhoyilisa maVotes kuti iende ku re run…but at 94 bob mukamuvhotera munenge muchipenga

  8. MDC has failed and we need a new party which isnt a faction. They split the party because of greedy and lost a loyal electorate. There is need 4 a new political party that unites the country and then fight zanu pf. I now strongly believe the latest elections were not rigged. Zanu pf won because they had sth to offer and are able to unite the country. Mdc made a mistake by dumping welshman ncube a guy I think ndebeles are proud of. Mutambara is a manicaland man and he must never be taken 4 granted. Further tsvangirai has shown he has dictatorial tendencies. I only give tsvangirai credit for his fearlessness.

  9. Talk about flushing toilets.have you ever theought about us women how this this water shortage is affecting us.every woman knows what i am talking about.that once a month experience. its now a curse really.you even wish you could skip a month without going through that.just to enlighten our fellow men.when a woman is in that state, water is her no.1 prority, you need lots of it to bath thouroghly.my sisters n the diaspora have already cancelled their trips home all because of the water crises.iv told them to plan their trips in such a way that the time they spend in zim does not coincide with their monthly cycle.what have we turned into as a nation?GOD HELP US!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. i now get it when people say never trust an educated person. They are the worst people in the world. With all these degrees that they have, what solutions have they provided.ALl they ever think about is enriching themselves.educated people are the most selffish, selfcentered creatures iv ever come accross.all these professors that we have, where is the common sense.surely leaving in that mansion of yours do you enjoy carrying buckets of water everyday to your upstairs bathroom so you can flush your toilet, bathing in cold water because your gyser doesnt work, cooking food outside your double story because there is no electricity and you tell us you live in borrowdale or glen lorne.this is a disgrace. why did we waste our time going to school.if this is the price of being educated then i am surrendering all my certificates, they are just useless papers.please to all the leaders out there, help us our brothers and sisters, how long are we going to suffer like this?we long for that zim that we used to have.please, please, please!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  11. kikiki Kamudhomeni you now see Zanu Pf women’s league on this? You have forgotten your lion Nikuv? Kikiki ki

  12. we have aerious and embarrassing problems as a nation. What are we doing honestly discussing useless topics.is this going to bring food to the table.we need newspapers that are going to provide solutions to all these problems that we have.people are drinking sewage water, cooking with firewood, etc.we want to hear solutions to all these.whereelse in africa do people go for a week without flushing toilets. are we going to leave like this for the rest of our lives. please god help us.

  13. An error doesn’t become truth by
    reason of multiplied propagation,
    nor does truth become error
    because nobody sees it….

  14. I dont usually comment on a Zanu Pf women’s league opinion especially coming from some funny political analysts like Nkululeko Sibanda.

  15. The enemy is not Morgan, Nelson, or Tendai. Stop manufacturing non-existent enemies, like Zanu PF does. The real enemy is Robert Gabriel.
Those who want Morgan out of the picture, what is your real motivation? To eliminate Robert Gabriel’s biggest threat?

  16. Chamisa for President 2018: This is an excellent idea. We need a “Zim Obama” to liberate our country from the new Colonial Powers. However this should be in line with the party’s internal democracy and agreed by all to avoid part conflicts. Chamisa has amaizing Charisma

  17. Propaganda is a form of
    communication aimed
    towards influencing the
    attitude of the community
    toward some cause or
    position by presenting only
    one side of an argument.
    Propaganda statements
    may be partly false and
    partly true. Propaganda is
    usually repeated and
    dispersed over a wide
    variety of media in order
    to create the chosen result
in audience attitudes. So we dont buy this whole Russian garbage.

  18. MT is our leader.Chamisa will b good to take lead of our party.Bt as of now,we r content with MT

  19. Tsvangirai tofamba naye nokuti hatina chakaipa naye uye if Chamisa assumes power then it might cause a lot of harm and damage to the party.Tsvangirai’ S term is still on

  20. Chamisa join Zanu Pf then you can have chance to be president otherwise MDC is dead and buried. There is noorderin the MDC , there is no common goal in the MDC and MDC’salliance with the Bristish made things tough for people on the ground to vote for them because voters are in Zimbabwe not UK. Tsvangirai should tell people what they want to hear things like bread and butter issues, and jobs but if he just condenms Mugabe people are tired of that they need jobs and there life back on track

  21. the reporter nhasi amiramira, well balanced reporting not zvaanomboita…..
anyway….. Chamisa is the best bet, Biti ane hasha , mwonzora is not knowwn much ne public hameno pesonary , personary (p sqaure) oops
    anyway…Morgi na Robbie shld go…

  22. it seems people are in rush to remove tsvangira, until he takes over them we start counting. so mugabe has been in power since 1964??…

  23. Did u ever heard kuti chinotimba akadzidza asi haasi mupaliament saka tsvangirai aipapapi u know that cause us ol zimbabweans to have freedom so we have tothank him not kumoshora pasina iye muno muzimbabwe musina kubva makaita opposition part,FAMBA TSVANGIRAI TIENDE DZAMARA TATORA NYIKA YEDU SIMUKA ZIMBABWE

  24. Eish things of changing leadership i hope is not the way we can push our country forwad but to go back look @Mgabe and his party did u ever that they split becoz is old although Mjuru,Gotche even Kasukuwere astil fresh only thing the stil stand as 1part ZANU ,so this Part MDC as people’s part but ise that they are only to fullfil the way they are feeling noT ZVIDOZVEVANU

  25. Eish Thulani! MDC split in 2005, Ncube got about 2% of the votes so there is no way a combined opposition would have garnered 75%! Otherwise I agree with you.

  26. AS long as president Mugabe is contesting the elections he will always find ways to win, whether he is contested by Tsvangirai, Biti, Chamisa or Madhuku. The results will remain the same. Chance was lost in 2008 elections after MDC split. That time a united MDC would have given Tsvangirai a 75% plus win such that it would be impossible for ZANUpf to rig. Now that ZANU pf knows that it will always loose against Tsvangirai, it is now sponsoring leadership change in MDCT failure of which it has also put several rigging methods on wait.

  27. To remove Mugabe in 2018? MDC puppets should start preparing a fight against Teurai Ropa rather than wasting time wanting talking about Mugabe in 2018.

  28. This is vitriol….utter rubbish! We the vanguard group shall remain resolute until victory….our economy is heading no where….they are busy looting.

  29. Haikona kungocommenter zvamusinganzwisisi. Tangai mabvunza!!! Faction inoitwa nevanhu vanokara seZanu. Kwete part yevanhu seMDC.T. Kana taronga kuti Chamisa apinde panyanga tinenge taona mberi, shure nepakati pake. To make sure we gona chase Zanu as a vomiting dog. Tozviita isuuu!!!

  30. this is just plain stupid gukurahundi rumours out to destroy my wonderful party. taurai dzimwe nyaya dzinovaka not sensationalism with no facts
