There was fireworks in Harare after South African Jacob Zuma ordered his facilitation team assigned to Zimbabwe to penetrate government and organisations in their fact finding mission for the troubled government of national unity.
This is the first time a South African delegation will freely probe Zimbabwean gvt structures in an effort to address a political impasse between President Robert Mugabe and the MDC parties led by Morgan Tsvangirai and Welshman Ncube respectively.
A South African government official said they have received orders to make sure that they are not controlled by anyone:
“Their work is clear and they know they have a SADC mandate and will not be controlled by any individual party in this equation. ”

Jacob Zuma

Meanwhile in Harare a ZANU PF official voiced concern that Zuma’s team had already begun probing GNU issues liaising with people without consultation of either Robert Mugabe or senior members of his ZANU PF party as former President Thabo Mbeki used to do:
“They are meeting officials from executive bodies without government representatives and that constitutes some degree of interference in a sovereign State,” the official quoted by the state run Herald paper mourned.
Zanu-PF and MDC formations signed the GPA in September 2008 leading to the formation of the inclusive Government in February of the following year.
The MDC party recently urged SADC to look into and put in place measures to curb politically motivated violence perpetrated by Zanu (PF) on MDC members and supporters as well as civic society organizations and their members.
The MDC called for the removal of military personnel and Zanu (PF) youth militia from all bases set across the country as part of the revolution-claiming party’s strategy to intimidate the electorate and force them to vote for them.
“It is further the MDC’s position that the Windhoek summit must put in place measures to curb politically motivated violence that is being perpetrated against MDC and civil society members by Zanu PF thugs across the country.
“We demand an end to the selective application of the law by the police and other law enforcement agents. This also includes the immediate removal of soldiers and militia in the countryside and arrest of all known political violence perpetrators,” said the MDC.
After more than two years of maintaining a quiet diplomacy policy, South Africa as the mediator to the Zimbabwean crisis recently abandoned its policy after several frustrations by President Mugabe and his Zanu (PF), with several violations having been reported. South African President Jacob Zuma seem to have had been frustrated by the continued violation of the GPA by his revolutionary counterpart hence his de4parture from the quiet diplomacy.

  1. Iwe benzi, there is Nelson Mandela st in Pretoria, OR Tambo International Airport in Joburg and Walter Sisulu University in Esatern Cape. There’s even Nelson Mandela University in PE, Steve Biko Hospital, Chris Hani Hospital etc. What’s so important about crescents, avenues and streets? Benzi remunhu, Uri schupeti!

  2. In Cape Town there is no single road named after any African hero. No Nelson Mandela St, no Oliver Tambo way, no Walter Sisulu Cres nothing, nothing. But there is Jan Van Riebeck st, John Vorster, John Rhodes, Buitekunt and Koeburg. Trying to strike a balance, they named one popular hotel as ‘Rhodes Mandela Hotel?’ Nelson Mandela’s stature in the V & A Waterfront can hardly be noticed as it is completely dwarfed by former colonial masters statues. I’ve already dealt extensively on my previous comments about the huge discrapancy which exist between the blacks’ residancy and whites. Unemployment rate is very high among blacks than what it is within the white community. The whole economy is still in the hands of the whites and any successful few black businesspersons are labelled corrupt, evil and rebellius. Zuma is not the man l’m sorry, he should expend his energy sorting out his backyard first.

  3. To all those who are insulting Zuma there is a simple question ..what are your people doing in SA if you are that clever? Why do you need intervention of SA in your sick country’s affairs if you clever? Why are your teachers haouse maids and gardeners in SA if you clever? lIBO THULA O PASI LIKHULUMA KAKHULU NJALO OKUNGHELA NQONDO.

  4. Only zanu muppets can be amazed when Msholozi impliments what all parties involved had signed up for and agreed to. Truly zanu muppets are like little children who are prone to confusion and throwing tantrums at the slightest pretex. Grow up and understand that Africa is changing and will make progress with or without zanu muppets.

  5. Yes, l think for the first time l will try to agree with with this little devil called Martin da William. The SA are trying to find reason to deport those desperate mdc farm workers who jumped the boarder. Zimbabwe is a sovereign state with an elected government in place. SADC is only there to assist the warring parties to work together for the good of the country and not to put pressure on anyone. Zuma is a SA and it ends there. This type of thinking from the MDC is so sickening.

  6. If this report is true then we are moving deeper into confusion. Why does SADC want to dig deeper into government departments? If they find the obvious non functionings because of political bickerings of the GPA parties what action is SADC capable of taking? Has the SADC mandate changed? Is it now to see the effectiveness or non of it by the GNU? What about ZanuPF’s concerns voiced earlier this week that the MDC-T or both of them change evrytime hence it does not help to negotiate with them? Why have we not heard a comment on this serious allegation? Or does it mean that all government departments are now involved in violonce against MDC-T and its Western and Rhodesian backed NGOs? I doubt if SADC will want to investigate the operations of a government? The complaint is not getting this government to be effective, it is promoting a democratic environment for free and fair elections to be conducted. The discovery and eventual exposure of incomptentand corrupt government officials or the confirmation of a very efficient and very professional civil service will not result in free and fair elections on its own. So, this report is just one of the many misleading ones to woodwink blind supporters of a crtain party or parties of the GPA.

  7. @ Mutengesi Chii & Gadaffi your call is endorsed 10000×7%.
We are fed up with this blood sucking vampire oucuppying State House through the back door.

  8. Viva President Zuma my true hero and son of Africa.
Perfect strategy to outwit Zanu PF black devils.
Bhobho kanofanira kudzidziswa kuti nguva yekuita bully vamwe yakapera. Kakadya izvozvo kachikwambo keZanu PF kanorambira pachigaro. Nxa!!!!!!!!

  9. Whwen Churchill saw, he had foresight than Chamberlain who was primeminister, that Hitler was a despot who could only be removed or stopped by force he pushed for that. The same case here Mugabe, like Hitler and Smith b4 him they understand the language of force. If u do not use force they say u are cowards. Still on that comrades if Mugabe steals election as he did in 2008, please lets go to war. We cannot let a dictator go to his grave peacefully.

  12. Is this a prayer chaitemurachavekuseva or is it a prophecy? I thought enlightenment tradition separated the state from the church and secularized the state. This is why we vote and leaders are not appointed by the pope. Its funny that Bob’s blind followers who proclaim their hate for western ways are the first to invoke the oppressive pre-modern conditions where westerners claimed God’s authority to dominate other men.Kwavakutsvaga kweashaya kutsvaga uta mugate, kikikikikiki!

  13. I thought the role of Zuma was simply to facilitate so who has instructed these so called South African mediators to interfere in our internal affairs.Events in Libya are still vividly fresh in our minds and we know very well how some of our black brothers sold out. This Zuma chap must not be given an acre of space to smuggle in our country imperialists agenda in the name of facilitating, after all ZANU(PF)has made it clear that there is nothing to discuss anymore. In short they are simply telling Zuma to zoom off he has failed in his role.

  17. @ Masola. You 100% correct man. These pseudo liberators will surely run like their pal Gaddafi. Where is he with his boastful pretencies? Are the lessons of June 2008 lost by these people who are cheering on a loser? No matter how much they cry they will never win the hearts and minds of Zimbabweans. We would rather vote a foreigner than a Zanu pf thug.
Their time is up. Our win was more than 47%. Didn’t they say so to USA ambassadors according to WikiLeaks?
@ Kemet. Bob is in a corner my dear. Ask him.

  19. S.A WANT TO MAKE SURE, LIKE WHAT THE BRITISH DID WITH THE COUNTRY GUIDENCE, TO DEPORT ZIMBABWEANS , CLAMING IT’S NOW SAFE TO DO SO… politics is a dirt game…. though in the other route, they were said, they never complained about violence and they are already saying.. thinks are smooth

  20. the pple of zim shall decide who to lead them. Whether its a traitor or sme one who has been on the war front, its up to them. Being a liberation war hero cannot be an automatic passport to lead the country. Pple have come of age and will talk thru the ballot box like what they did in 2008. Vakatiza hondo 47pc vakarova hondo 43pc. Rude awakening!

  21. THIS IS A NONSENCE STORY,YES MUGABE RESPECTS THE BROTHERS IN AFRICA BUT WILL NEVER BE PUSHED AROUND…AFTER ALL HE CHALLENGES THESE SO CALLED FIRST WORLD EURO-AMERICAN ZIONIST DEVILS SO AS TO FREE THE YOUTH FROM BONDAGE.WE ARE FREE IN ZIMBABWE UNLIKE SOUTH AFRICA WHERE THE WHITES OWN EVERYTHING…VIVA ZIMBABWE!!!

  22. Were it Malema, yes! Not ds western stooge who takes orders 4rm colonial masters. A mere puppet lyk Tsvangson. Let him free his own people first, economic freedom. its shameful dt u c an advert reading “preferable white guys” in his country & if that’s e freedom he wats us to have we don’t want it.

  23. zimbabwe must be careful of undue pressure.Jacob zuma is responsible for the Mess in Libya at moment. He was hoodwinked by the 1973 Un resolution. His political gamemanship is still childish. The government patriotic Zimbabwean must on the lookout for these overtures including soe who what to meant ties at this time. They could looking for avenues to unlock the spirit of the fighting Zimbabweans.
we have endured and suffered for so long and there is no way we can give up at this point to please who? There is need to complete the economic war whilst sanctions are still in place because there is no hassles of bilaterals.
other nations control their resources and only in Africa do we appear to be brain dead that we seek outside help.
For MR Zuma it is too late to penetrate our structures. We know what happened in libya, syria, egypt, Tunisia to name but
a few. to hell with neo-colonialism.

  24. Ha ha ha!
Who keep inventing these stories of WISHFUL THINKING? lol
SA Africans are yet to retake African lands and African wealth & resources from the pale devils.
SA has a lot yet to be accomplished at home. They are in no position to determine anything political or otherwise for the LIBERATED Zimboz.
Those who are yet un-free, aren’t going to be allowed to determine anything for a FREE Zimboz.
No one in his right mind thinks that this “divide & dominate” game is going to deter Zim Patriots from being the one guiding Zimbabwe to Self-determination, Self-development, Self-sufficiency & Self-reliance.
No one with a half-a-brain is going to think that what was won by Zim Patriots enduring the fire of Chimurenga is going to be handed over to the MDC-Traitors.
No South Africa, no SADC, no evil euro gamesmanship is going to distract Zim Patriots.
Fundamental to African Traditional Values is NON-INTERFERENCE in the affairs of others.
SA is merely a facilitator. And that is the ONLY role, only game, that SA will be allowed to play in Zim
