The Ndebele and Shona Bible translations are now available to listen for free online, ZimEye can reveal.
The whole Bible in Zimbabwe’s two main languages is now available to listen on the Bible.is website.
At the time of writing a user was able to listen to the scriptures using any computer device, most mobile phones, including all Apple devices.
Although the website has a registration facility, a user can with a simple mouse click, still listen to all the 66 books of the Bible even without registering.
For those who chose to register, your Bible.is Account lets one create bookmarks, highlights, and notes on any verse. An additional plus is that one is also able to keep them synced between the web and their iOS or Android device.
To listen, a user only needs to click on “Bible”, and then at the second top left tab, select the desired translation.
Apart from an audio version, the Bible is also available in text form for Ndebele and Shona together with many other languages of the world.
