(London)The late Ret General Solomon Mujuru’s customary wife, Simbiso Chisirimunhu, has died in the United Kingdom.
She was 38.
Ms Chisirimunhu died on Tuesday evening after a long ilness although relatives reported she died of stress.
She was mother to Tawanda and Tsitsi Mujuru and her son, Tawanda, seen by ZimEye has a sharp facial resemblance of Zimbabwe’s most feared army general.
General Mujuru married the woman 18 years ago in Chikomba, Sadza district, witnesses claim. She was second wife customarily married to the general who until his death was legally married to Vice President Joice Mujuru.
Ms Chisirimunhu’s relatives Wednesday said that she died of stress. She succumbed to “mental health relapse as a result of stress,” a relative said.
Her brother, Christian Mahachi said “she died on Tuesday evening. We are still consulting as a family so that we can start working on burial arrangements,”
A friend of Simbiso who declined being named alleged to ZimEye that the deceased struggled and was once threatened by Vice president Joice Mujuru, which resulted in her opting to relocate to the United Kingdom”.

THE Zimbabwean government is losing millions of dollars to well-oiled gold smuggling syndicates that continue to pose a serious threat to revenue generation, making development of basic infrastructure unattainable, Vice-President Joice Mujuru (pictured) has said.
Speaking at the launch of the Mining Mechanisation Programme at Bunny Luck Mine in West Nicholson yesterday, she said it was time Zimbabweans desisted from smuggling gold out of the country.
“We are faced with a big and painful problem of smuggling where people are hiding gold in bras and socks and smuggle it into South Africa,” she said.
“It is high time our people learned to do business without fearing police officers.
The Mujuru’s are some of the biggest thieves in Zimbabwe – they, along with a great number of other politically well connected shonas are plundering our economy beyond control. They are doing this knowing that their days are numbered. Comrades, none of you can hide, you won’t be able to hide! Mujuru nephew up for fraud

HARARE – Tendai Mundawarara, nephew to Vice President Joice Mujuru, who allegedly defrauded a Dubai jewellery company of $430 000 after promising it 8,5kg of gold, was arraigned before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts yesterday.
The court heard that on October 14 last year, Beaver Mining and Mundawarara, 49, misrepresented Kalotti Jewellery International that they were licensed to deal in gold and could supply the company with gold within three days.
Kalotti Jewellery International is a company registered in Dubai represented by Earth Clean, their local company Beaver Mining is represented by Mundawarara.
Mundawarara then entered into an agreement with Kalotti to supply gold which was to be exported to Dubai, the court heard.
According to state papers, Beaver Mining was supposed to supply 8,5kg of gold to Kalotti.
It is alleged Mundawarara engaged Trynos Nkomo, the president of Zimbabwe Minerals Federation and instructed him to open a National Merchant Bank (NMB) account where he is one of the board of directors.
Mundawarara then instructed Kalotti Jewellery to deposit $430 000 in the account and Nkomo withdrew the money, the court was told.
According to state papers, Mundawarara engaged Nkomo and entered into another agreement in which the latter would buy gold for him and received 4kg of gold which Nkomo sought for him.
Mundawarara bought and offered for sale gold well knowing he was neither a holder of a valid licence nor an accredited agent in terms of the Gold Trade Act, indicated the state papers.
Kalotti suffered an actual prejudice of $280 000 and 3,5 kg gold worth $150 000 was recovered.
The three were remanded out of custody on $1 000 bail. They were ordered to surrender their travelling documents and report to the police every Friday as part of their bail conditions.
They will be back in court on July 2.

Joyce Mujuru, appointed by Robert Mugabe five years ago, is among the 200 Zimbabwean high and mighty who are currently under strict European Union and United States sanctions for their human rights abuses that defy the word abuse. A UN report estimated at $5 billion the looting done by the elite of Zimbabwe, while the country is plagued by cholera, hyperinflation, and massive and widespread poverty.
Joyce Mujuru’s daughter and Spanish son-in-law Pedro del Campo allegedly tried to sell a hefty stash of gold measured at 3,700kg for $90 million to Firstar Europe Ltd. The current market rate for gold is $30,700 (£21,500) per kilo. Since Mujuru is under sanction, it is totally illegal for her to trade and sell.
The 3.7 tons of gold nuggets bear a certificate of origin from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Included in the attempted sale were $15 million worth of diamonds without certification. If these diamonds also came from DR Congo, or Africa in general, they may be considered ‘blood diamonds’ that have been outlawed. del Campo claimed to represent two commodities companies, Onesafara International and Berline Equities Corp. that were both traced to the ownership of Joyce Mujuru, the actual seller of the gold haul.

What made the Commercial farmers (4800 white and 1200 black) so important
(70 per cent of gross agricultural output) was the productivity and
technologically advanced nature of their operations. They irrigated 270 000
hectares of land – most of it as supplementary irrigation in dry years, they
produced about 600 000 tonnes of maize a year (we need 1,8 million tonnes a
year – 1,2 million tonnes for human consumption and 600 000 tonnes for
industry and stockfeed. But in a dry year they could irrigate much of the
crop and guarantee some output. Commercial farmers produced virtually all
the wheat (400 000 tonnes), all the barley (40 000 tonnes) and 95 per cent
of the tobacco (250 000 tonnes a year) and 90 per cent of all soybeans (120
000 tonnes). Then they produced all the tea – 90 per cent of the coffee, all
the milk (260 000 tonnes) and all the fruit (citrus and pome – about 75 000
tonnes a year). In the meat industry they produced about 60 per cent of the
poultry, 70 per cent of the beef and 85 per cent of the pig meat –
altogether about 350 000 tonnes a year.
When you put this all together, Commercial farmers generated about 70 per
cent of gross agricultural output, half of all exports and a third of
employment and 60 per cent of the raw materials getting to local industry.
They supported over 2 million people directly on farms at a standard that
was significantly better than in the communal areas where absolute poverty
existed.
Since the farm invasions, commercial agricultural output has declined 70 per
cent and is still declining. In the communal sector, and this is
fascinating, the decline has been slightly higher at 73 per cent. I estimate
that out of the 10 000 title deeded farms that were forcibly taken from
their owners, 7000 are today vacant, with no people living there, no farm
activity of any kind. Hardest hit has been the cattle industry where
commercial stocks of 2,7 million head have been reduced to about 700 000
head. You cannot run cattle when there is no law, no security and no fences.
This year we will import just about everything – two thirds of our milk, a
third of our sugar (we used to produce 600 000 tonnes a year with half for
export), vegetables, 1,2 million tonnes of maize – maybe more than last year
as the crop is smaller, all our wheat, half our barley and two thirds of our
soybeans. Much of it from Zambia (where ex Zimbabwean farmers have made a
huge impact) and Malawi where very successful peasant agricultural systems
are delivering large surpluses – but funded by donors.
What should be of concern to all is that three years after the formation of
the GNU, the only sector that shows no recovery, but is still in decline, is
agriculture.
So what, who cares? What was this bit of shona dirt doing hiding over there in the first place?
