Girl, 3, wins Yorkshire Writers Award

Leeds(ZimEye)A three year old Zimbabwean girl has performed wonders and now goes down in history as a Yorkshire Young Writer.
She is the only black Zimbabwean winning this award for the year 2011.
Tatyana Mutanda’s name is now listed in a thick 258 page book edited by Mark Richardson for the Young Writers Award.
The book is a collection of outstanding poems titled ‘Yorkshire Poets.
Young Writers is an organisation created to encourage young people to engage in creative writing and has worked with schools, parents and young writers for over 20 years

  1. This is all rubbish, my daughter got that award as well. And they told us they would be publishing her poem in a book.For this to be done we had to pay some money. I listened with intrest when a friend at work came in one morning proclaiming that her daughter had been given an award for writing poetry… as I listened I realised that it was the same scam.. .not wanting to kill his joy… I did not say anything.. a few weeks later he was quite upset at what he called con men who prey on parents by telling them that their children had won awards..
    Just google this company and you will find that they have sent thousands of these award letters to parents…
    By the way all the kids in my daughter’s class recieved them…

  3. shingaz how can be that stupid? Dont you knw what is called editing? Obviously the girl would nto be able to write all that up. It says here that an editor like all other editors worked on the poem and off course the type of editing you do for a 3 year old would differe wit the one you do for a 40 year old, but its all editing!
    So, you are now trying to compare yourself with the child, haunyare here? Enda kuchikoro mhani!

    She can do much better than some 60/70/80 year olds who lead us today…
