(Harare)The latest alleged girlfriend of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, Elizabeth Guma, is the wife of the late Zimbabwe Airforce commander who was loyal to his arch-enemy Robert Mugabe, ZimEye is reliably informed.
ZimEye can reveal that the latest woman at the centre of a fresh love affair controversy involving the Prime Minister is the wife of a ruthless farm invader who was promoted to a senior military post as a reward for his farm invasions in the eastern town of Chegutu, something the MDC-T leader Tsvangirai may have paid a blind eye to.
ZimEye can also reveal that Ms Guma is daughter to the powerful former ZANU PF mayor for Chitungwiza, Joseph Macheka.
Elizabeth Guma (35) (nee Macheka) who is the second woman named in the PM’s love life this week, is the wife of Wing Commander Mabasa Simba Guma who died in a car accident along the Harare-Bulawayo Road exactly 9 years ago.
Incidentally the day of his death falls exactly 9 years before news would brake of an alleged love affair of his wife with Tsvangirai in the media on Monday night.
Wing Commander Mabasa Guma was the Director of Equipment at AFZ at the time of his death on the 28th November 2002.
Mabasa Guma, who was highly known in the force for promiscuity, led farm invasions after Robert Mugabe’s chaotic land reform program was started in 2000.
“Apparently he actuallly played a big role in Chegutu together with [a certain] Mazambani from the Rhodesian built Suri Suri airbase (where he was stationed)”, a former airforce commander told ZimEye on Tuesday night.
“All about Elizabeth”
Despite the huge controversy with Tsvangirai’s recently reported ‘marriage’ to Locadia Tembo, Ms Guma is said to have confided to some family members that she was set to get married to Tsvangirai next month, December.
Relatives of Ms Guma have been quoted following recent stories on the ZANU PF businesswoman Locadia Tembo the prime minister is reported to have married:
“When you wrote the first story that Mr Tsvangirai had married, I thought it was all about Elizabeth. She has been in love with him and many people close to her are aware of the relationship. Right now, Elizabeth is in hiding and rarely comes out.”
Sources quoted by the Herald state that Tsvangirai first met Ms Guma at the Harare International Airport while the woman was on her way to China to buy stock for her boutique.
The PM is reported to have met ZANU PF businesswoman Locadia Tembo at another airport this time in South Africa.
