“Mbanje” charge Nurse has public photos of reveling thumbnail

Doncaster(ZimEye)A UK based Zimbabwean nurse now associated with Cannabis-Mbanje after receiving a police caution for growing the drug at his home, risks a public spat on his character and possibly being labeled a careless reveler after photos what may be viewed as a drinking and noisy culture was seen on his profile on social networking website Facebook.

Rodney Gwamba a Zimbabwean Adult Nurse who is on queue to stand an employment-suitability tribunal in December has published photos which display him in various places drinking and reveling and some of them show him holding a large bottle of whiskey and pointing at it with a firm long finger. Other images show him with cushioned by a number of women but whose faces we shall not publish privacy reasons.

Gwamba risks losing his licence to practice after he received a caution from the police for growing the illegal drug said to have been found at his residence.

NMC proceeding documents state that Gwamba will be under investigation for “cultivating cannabis a Class C controlled drug; contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971″.

The Nurse also has a host of other charges against him which include among others: dishonestly tampering with the electricity meter leading to his house.

    Failed to administer medication

    Gwamba is being charged for allegedly failing to administer medication and falsely recording that he had adminstered it.

    On 20th April 2009, failed to administer 200mg Trimethoprim to Resident A at 8pm;

    (b) With regard to (a) above, incorrectly signed Resident A’s MAR chart to indicate that the medication had been given;

    Inappropriate language at work

    Additional charges against Gwamba are using inappropriate language at work. The writ states:

    On 12th April 2009, made inappropriate comments to and/or about your colleague Lianne Crookes in the presence of another staff member and patients in that you stated:

    (a) “You slag” or words to that effect;
    (b) “How slaggish is that?” or words to that effect;

    Failing to perform safety checks

    Gwamba is also charged for allegedly failing to perform safety checks

    6. (a) Failed to check the Emergency Resuscitation Equipment on the following night shifts:

    (i) 19th to 20th April 2009;
    (ii) 20th to 21st April 2009;
    (iii) 21st to 22nd April 2009;

    (b) Indicated on the Daily Checks document that you had undertaken the checks referred to above;

    All these mdc people are drunkards, drug addicts, gays and lesbians, thieves and fraudsters, murderers, conmen, liars, sellouts and puppets. How could he serve sick people when he is drunk and under the influence of drugs

    It’s so unfortunate that our br behaved that way and in a foreign country.He did something very embarrasing to grow mbanje and to neglect duty!
