An MDC-T vehicle was on Thursday afternoon seized after it was found that the youth leader driving it, Costa Machingauta is not authorised to drive it.
Further reports were made that Machingauta who is the party’s deputy Youth Assembly chairman actually does not have a drivers’ license.

This led to Council police swooping in and having been directed by Parliament authorities to impound it.
“It was being abused by the Assembly’s deputy chair Costa Machingauta and wrongly parked it outside parliament,” a senior source told ZimEye Thursday afternoon.
“Under normal circumstances it is a breach of party rules for party officials to drive party vehicles.
Only party drivers are allowed by the party to drive party vehicles.”
The incident occurred after an MDC parliamentarian had reported the alleged breach.

  1. Thanks Ndaba Nhuku, your comment is straight to the point and objectively thought of. Wasiyana nema fetye emdc anoda kutsvaga kuti Zanu pamhosva yamunenge mazviparira.

  2. Has Costa Machingauta not read about Dudu Manhenga’s predicament. It’s dangerous to drive without a license. Trivial though it may seem – a licence will save you from jail any time.

  3. Very interesting comments. Mwana weZANU, do you really want newspapers to report kuti ‘who parked illegally, where?’ Bobby J, I used the example of ballot boxes to draw attention to an example of what is newsworthy (and yes, you are right, I AM educated) It appears some comments are outright frivolous (a sign of kusadzidza)People can agree or disagree with an opinion without straying from the realm of common sense. I see Ndaba Nhuku doesn’t disagree with me entirely, he only sees ‘driving without a licence’ as more grave than wanton murder and misappropriation of state resources by certain people……………….Life!
