Harare(ZimEye)ZIMBABWE’s 2012 budget presentation which was scheduled Wednesday 16 November has been postponed to an unannounced date because of President Robert’s trip to Asia.
“We are sorry that the budget presentation which was supposed to be held tomorrow has been affected by the President’s visit which we did not anticipate. We are not yet informed of the new dates but it is going to next week,” a Ministry of Finance official who declined to be named told ZimEye.
President Robert Mugabe who on Friday last week unceremoniously left the country for Asia is believed to have passed through Singapore, one of his frequent destinations in Asia, where he has been receiving medication in recent months on his way to China.
According to the state controlled Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation Mugabe during his ‘official’ visit met with Chinese potential investors from the mining, real estate and air transport sectors in Hong Kong.
ZBC said the first family today joined hundreds of parents in Hong Kong to celebrate a lifetime achievement by their daughter, Bona, who graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Honours in Accountancy Degree at City University in Hong Kong.
Informed government sources disclosed that the octogenarian leader flew out of the country to Singapore on Friday evening accompanied by his wife Grace although the motive of Mugabe’s visit to Singapore was not yet clear.
Mugabe is scheduled to return back home on Sunday. The trip to the Asian country is his ninth this year.
Last month Mugabe travelled to Singapore but upon his return he could not confirm whether he had sought medical treatment.

Speculation is growing around the 87-year-old leader’s health. Early this year, Mugabe’s spokesperson disclosed that he had visited Singapore for a cataract operation.
But the Zanu-PF leader frequently denies rumours about his ill-health. Last month upon his return from Singapore, Mugabe told a journalist from the state-run media at the Harare International Airport that he was “fit” when asked his heath status.

  1. Chando musoro wako unopisa i cn see. You are double headed fool . Kusiyana kwezvaitirwa bugdet bt its all the same

  2. Kusaziya kwakafanana nekufa,i can sight more than ten countries which operated without the so called budget for two years and their economies actually improved during that period. It depends on your understanding of the budget and its intended purpose.Dont confuse national budget with your budget for rice, meal mealie and sweet at home.

  3. No wonder why you call yourself chando kupisa/musoro unopisa. Visit a doctor unotariswa brain dzako . Can you do without without a budget, woda kuti ishande isina . Uri guvhu haikona ahhhh kwana mhani.

  4. Budget ipikowo? The country is probably better off without the so called budget from Mbiti and the likes of Eddie Cross. This man is a total failure and completely lights out.Ever since he assumed that portifolio very little has been achieved in that ministry .He is always missing target and his economic policies are unachievable and upside down.During his maiden presentation of the so called budget in 2009 he fooled everyone into believing that the country was going to be awash with funds from the donors but up to now three years down the line not even a single dollar has been injected in the economy. The only thing that he achieved was to silence Gono which was his major objective when he took office.

  5. Greydog, l’ll try to answer your stupid questions. Travelling to attend to his daughter’s graduation can never be an official visit but a family affair. However, the President wemt through to China on official visit. His many visits to Singapore has more to do with visiting his child Bona than your medical rhetoric and every organised parent does that(paying regular visits to a child at school). The President can have any kind of physician from anywhere in the world come and attend to him at his own place of residence, which is less risky than travelling to Singapore for the same and l don’t need any CIO to tell me this but common sense. Zbc, the official broadcaster covered the President’s visits and since you vowed never to view or listern to Zbc, did you want the same story covered by your gay brothers under ‘Mzansi for sho?’ Zimbabwe remains poorer with stupid people like you Greydog

  6. Bla Miki, was this an official visit or not? Are we not supposed to be informed when the “president” goes on an official visit somewhere? 10. Editor, explain how unceremonious did the President leave on Friday? Is it not so fair for the President as a parent, to attend to his only daughter and first born child’s graduation ceremony?

  11. There will be no progress whilst Zimbabwe is held hostage by these innefficient zanu muppets who like to pretend that they are indispensible.
