Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has been accepted by the government of Zimbabwe to be the AU Observer Mission Chairman for the July 31, presidential election.

Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the chairperson of AU Commission, in a statement on Friday said that Obasanjo is expected in Zimbabwe on Saturday to lead the team of international observers.

Dlamini-Zuma made this known in a statement after paying a courtesy call on President Robert Mugabe at the State House in Harare on Thursday to announce the AU team’s presence in the country ahead of elections.

She said that Mugabe welcomed the scheduled arrival of Obasanjo.

Heading to Zimbabwe...Obasanjo

Heading to Zimbabwe…Obasanjo

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that with the acceptance by Mugabe it as clears doubts over Obasanjo’s visit to Zimbabwe as head of AU Observer Mission.

It will be recalled that the Pan African Forum and the Zimbabwe ruling party, Zanu-PF had rejected the former Nigerian leader as head of the AU observer mission, claiming he will be biased towards the main opposition party, Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

Dlamini-Zuma in an interview on Thursday before meeting with Mugabe said that Obasanjo can only visit Zimbabwe if allow by the government of the country.

Mugabe, who has been governing the country since independence will contest the presidential polls with the Prime Minister and MDC candidate, Morgan Tsvangirai. - NAN

In an election where millions will be casting their votes for President Mugabe, it really doesn’t matter whether Obasanjo will be biased towards Tsvangirai because at the end of the day, the will of the people has to be respected. Was so embarrassed to hear Tsvangirai claiming that Mama Nkosazana Dhlamini Zuma is a Zanu Pf sympathiser. This was said after the AU chairperson dismissed as false the so called rigging document. Mrs Zuma asked for proof but the Baba Jukwa manufactured document was nowhere. Cry babies, manje mama.ma

We need to do away with these so called liberation parties if we have to see democracy and rule of law. They seem to be covering one another in expense of the suffering public. These organisations are just elite clubs where they still preach war after almost 40 years . Nkosazana zuma has close links and was involved when Mugabe stole votes during white head, Thambo mbeki’s tenure as they employed their quite diplomacy when in fact they helped their fellow thug into the presidency despite over whelming evidence that he lost . Remember when Thabo mbeki’ was interviewed about the crisis in Zimbabwe, and his answer was, what crisis. So this woman is not neutral at all.

So the Zumas of SADC and AU have decided to gang up against Tsvangirayi so that they can over ride the people’s will of getting rid of the dictator Mugabe! How very cruel indeed, but God will never forsake us and so a new dawn is just around the corner for the long suffering zimbabweans.
Jacob Zuma is now all silence, pushing his shapeless ex in the forefront to take zimbabweans for a ride-really?! We are not stupid, God is on our side.
She goes to meet Mugabe so seal some illicit personal deals that are detrimental to zimbabwe because all they care about is protecting each other. The Zuma’s must know that soon enough the zimbabwean situation is going to play out in their backyard via Julius marema, so they better not throw stones yet! Maybe they think that if they favour Mugabe, he will return the favour someday, my foot!
GOD BLESS AND PROTECT TSVANGIRAYI, TATOSVIKA.NDIMA INOREBA YOPERA. BE STRONG AND CALM EVERYONE, GOD WILL NEVER DESERT US IN THIS HOUR XXX
