The town of Kariba which experienced a vivid attack of a woman who was killed while having sex last week, encountered another shocking incident on Saturday when a man was brutally attacked by a crocodile while fishing.
The man, a Zimbabwe Tourism Authority worker, was attacked by the dangerous reptile while catching fish in Lake Kariba.
His attack follows that of a man and woman who were preyed on by lions while in intimacy a few days before.
He was hospitalised and was receiving treatment at the local hospital at the time of writing. The lucky man, was attacked on the hand and thigh. A resident told ZimEye the man was lucky to be alive after seeing the nature of wounds he received from the reptile.
Kariba town has been living in fear and terror following the attacks and a virtual curfew is now being observed since Wednesday last week.

We need cleansing in kariba .I have been there several times and i have noted a disturbing rise in tourists from Matabeleland.Crocodiles in limpopo are now starved so they are trekking up. Pliz ban the amatabele from visitng Kariba. Restrict them to Matopos Makokoba Madhlambuzi. Let them learn to enjoy in their reserves. Your presence is attracting all sorts of predators you nyamazanaz
More awareness campaigns in Kariba are needed on the dangers of wildlife. The residents are so used to their environment that they take long to realise the magnitude of danger posed by the usually friendly animals. Speedy recovery fisherman, ZTA employee!
