Zimbabwe: Mugabe Goes After Lindiwe Zulu
South Africa on Sunday reversed comments a facilitator to the GPA, Lindiwe Zulu was said to have made on Friday.
President Jacob Zuma’s spokesman, Mac Maharaj described the comments as ‘unfortunate’.
The Presidency has noted with great concern, recent unfortunate statements made on the situation in Zimbabwe, which have been attributed to a member of the technical team supporting the Facilitator, President Jacob Zuma, the statement read.screamer_lindiwe_zulu
On Friday Lindiwe Zulu was quoted by the APF news agency saying that there were challenges leading up to the July 31 elections in Zimbabwe, following problems with early voting.
She was commenting after thousands of Zimbabwean security forces failed to vote with polling stations opening late, and lacking indelible ink, stamps, voter rolls, ballot papers, and boxes.
“If things didn’t go right in the special vote, those things need to be looked into by the time of elections on July 31,” said Zulu.
But Zuma’s spokesman, Mac Maharaj said only President Jacob Zuma is authorised to make comments on the Zimbabwean situation and no one else.

“The Facilitator, President Jacob Zuma, appointed a three person facilitation team to provide technical support. The team comprises Mr Charles Nqakula, High Commissioner to Mozambique as the Head, Mr Mac Maharaj, Special Envoy and spokesperson to the President and Ms Lindiwe Zulu, International Relations Advisor to the President. The technical team supports the Facilitator and cannot impose its views on Zimbabwe nor make public pronouncements. Only President Zuma has the mandate to speak on Zimbabwe on behalf of SADC on facilitation issues.

“A number of statements have been made during the facilitation process which have been unauthorised and which are regrettable and unfortunate. Some of the utterances have also been inaccurate.
“The Presidency wishes to correct in particular the reports this weekend that President Zuma telephoned President Robert Mugabe to express his unhappiness about preparations for the Zimbabwean elections. No such telephone call has been made. The report is incorrect.
“President Zuma has also been alerted to inappropriate postings in the social media on the Zimbabwean situation.
“South Africa remains fully committed to the warm historical relations with the Republic of Zimbabwe and wishes the people of Zimbabwe well as they prepare for the elections. ”
This development came after President Robert Mugabe vowed to complain to Zuma about Zulu’s conduct.

  1. Please note that it is not South Africa who apologized to Mugabe. It is only Zuma and his coterie who apologized.
The majority of SA’s detest the reprehensible and murderous Mugabe.
Zimbabwe’s Neanderthal President was way out of line in calling a principled lady a “street woman”.
And, he does so with full knowledge that he himself is married to a prostitute. He cavorted with Zimbabwe’s ‘First Prostitute’ behind Sally’s back.
When you do such dirty things with a woman who is 41 years your junior then it’s called paedophillia .
Zimbabwe not only has a paedophile as President, they also have a murderer in that same person!!

  4. Yes, the thigh vending idiot whom l believe had ambitions of bedding the Zip Opener was reduced to her size. What an idiot, behaving like she was the Chairperson of Sadc. We are pleased to note the diplomatic co operation by President Zuma and we hope and pray that after the elections she won’t be needed anymore.

  5. Stupid , idiotic street woman has been cut to size no more reckless talking, only President Zuma is authorised to talk and this should help people like La Gay who thought every idiot in SA government can just wake up and start waffling about Zimbabwe.

  6. Lina Shona donkeys don’t piss me of in this good morning. You have been voting for Gushungo for years and you want people to rescue you now niyahlanya yini? Wena Greyhole akuyeke ukuzenza mina bloody Shangalai

  7. A failed state in the making. A state where all citizens are in fear of murderers in black glasses who drive cars without registration numbers.
    Its true,rigging is taking place.

  8. Well said Greyhora and others its really nothing but cowardice and appeasement. Lindiwe has been courting minutes and reports. The solution maybe that the parties that have been writing complaints should ask where Lindiwe went wrong while it is them who were sending reports to her BUT one day the truth will prevail even those who appease will be made to answer or say why they openly danced with the devil.

  9. Zuma said it, only he didnt want it for public consumption. Zulu is right, she must take her revenge. Keep it coming Zulu. Remember Zuma knows full well Mugabe’s doing shit. What happened to the road map. He tore it up and used it in the loo to wipe his arse.

  10. The Zanu Pf bandit Naked will soon strip at the South African envoy in protest at Lindiwe Zulu’s comments.

  13. Hehehe Greyhole, of course ngiyataura, three quarters of Mthwakazi iyataura so yini emangalisayo? LoNdumiso laye uyataura, even the future president Prof Mlotshwa Mzilankatha uyataura. Unenkinga nalokho?

  14. In diplomatic circles, South Africa has already made the point about the elections clear. Mugabe was listening at least his hearing is not as impaired as his thinking at 90! Nothing has been withdrawn because the Zimbabwean Government did not lodge an official complaint. Some old cranked-up fella was shouting at a rally.

  15. This policy of appeasement and lack of balls is what has led to 3 million refugees from Zimbabwe in SA. The sooner SA weaklings like Maharaj realise that they are part of the problem instead of the solution, the better for everyone!
Nakedog, so u can speak Shona wena umthakathi! You are slowly exposing your Zanu tendencies sihlama… Keep impersonating me and exposing yourself further!

  16. Who cares Zimbabwe should be sliced out of Mthwakaziland n Africa and thrown into Atlantic Ocean and left there to drift with its inhabitants Shonaz. Indeed it is a failed state,no one can dispute that .La Ligadonkey be prepared to be chewed by Atlantic sharks.

  17. Lindiwe Zulu has been honest about Zimbabwe. This was about decency but the truth is Zimbabwe has failed.

  18. He is almost 90 years old…
His failed leadership put the country on hold…
    Using the courts to cheat…
    Like a dog on heat…
    Are Zimbabweans so crazy…
To waste their votes on this lazy?…
Freedom soon knocks, we say please come in YES…
Bringing to an end suffering for 33 years…
    Vanhu Havachada Mugabe&zanupf!!

  19. We don’t need South Africans to lecture us to do things on time. They are failing to deliver textbooks to their schools on time and they are still using bucket system. And worse part still staying in zinc houses. Land to the people viva papa Mugabe and Malema. Pasi na Tsvangirai nema supporters ake.

  20. AU, SADC, and South Africa must prepare themselves for more Zimbabwe nonsense over the next few years if they don’t get their act together. If there is a problem, then they should not sanitize issues to please anyone. There are problems in Zimbabwe, especially with respect to the coming election, and Ms Lindiwe Zulu was actually right in pointing out that fact. What then is the purpose of this statement from Mac Maharaj? Unfortunately, its main result will be to embolden Mr Robert Mugabe and his party Zanu PF to continue with their shenanigans towards stealing another election. Its so sad that a group of people who will not hesitate when given a platform to shout out aloud their liberation credentials, which include great bravery, can not now stand up to a group of tired bullies.

  21. Sadly south africa is proven to be just like the oau ,au saddac, sadc a Organisation WITHOUT ANY BACK BONE NOT A SPINE BETWEEN THEM All talk , talk , more talk and and NO action

  22. yoyoyoyoyoyo so he’s merely strengthening the point that bob has been saying all along
