Harare- MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai has dismissed as hogwash, claims that his wife Elizabeth Macheka has rekindled an old affair with former lover Kennedy Ngirazi.

Tsvangirai and Wife Elizabeth

According to the Sunday Mail report the editors of the paper claimed Elizabeth Tsvangirai nee Macheka had rekindled her relationship with a former lover, Kennedy Ngirazi, and that the two have been communicating through text messages and emails plotting behind Morgan Tsvangirai’s back.

The Sunday Mail reproduced email communication claimed to have been exchanged between the two dating back to January, as questions were asked how they got access to private emails and phone communication.

However, Tsvangirai’s spokeman Luke Tamborinyoka dismissed the whole story as hogwash saying there was no truth in it.

“It is hogwash to say the least because none of those things is true, not to mention the invasion of privacy which is addressed by the new constitution. On the issue of legal action, I do not want to comment on that right now because I am yet to talk to the family,” said Tamborinyoka.

The Sunday Mail claims to be in possession of email copies exchanged between Elizabeth and Ngirazi, part of which were reproduced and show the two making travel arrangements to meet in Cape Town, South Africa.

According to the Sunday Mail, in an email dated January 12 2013, Elizabeth wrote to Mr Ngirazi inviting him to Cape Town. She wrote: “I’m so sorry to bother you. I think this guy is just buying time for reasons he knows better. He is a car dealer, there is no way he can say he doesn’t sapco document. I’m very worried, are you free to travel to Cape Town today?”

Mr Ngirazi replied saying: “I can what do you think?” Elizabeth then responded saying: “There is a BA ya2pm to Joburg connecting 5 to Cape Town. What do you think.” Later in the day Mr Ngirazi replied saying: “I’ve gone to Cape Town with SAA. Will be in Cape Town at 19:15.”

Further communication said to show Elizabeth expressing her love for Ngirazi telling him ‘Uri wangu sweetie’ was reproduced:

The PM’s wife’s sending Mr Ngirazi an email on January 21 2013 at 6:01pm was also produced and it states: “Baba Tashinga — What you did on Friday reminds me exactly how you used to treat me, how you used to hurt me, how you used to break my heart. Still I would patiently wait for you, until that day I just decide to give up on us…no stress, it’s just a reminder.”

Then on January 23 2013, things started to heat up when Mrs Tsvangirai sent another email from her Nokia Lumia 920 to Mr Ngirazi at 9:09am saying: “Why ndisingaitwewo good morning, good night. Ndakatsamwa. Asi you are still deciding? Or you haven’t made up your mind. Asi mune confusion. Kasikai ku maker decision Mrehwa.”

At 12:43pm on the same day, Mr Ngirazi replied the email from his Samsung mobile phone saying: “Good afternoon my love. You know very well you are always on my mind. Hapana chekumbo decider. My quietness does not mean I’ve forgotten about you but it’s to keep you safe. You are too delicate to mess up. I love you always.”

Mrs Tsvangirai then responded from her mobile phone at 3:58pm saying: “Subject: RE: mwa — I like the word delicate, wow it’s mesmerising. Uri wangu sweetie.”

double dipping is a trait in MDC. sex scandals are akin to the movement for democratic change. such a relationship would bring a corrupt delilah leadership upon Zimbabwe.
the electorate have already voted to keep such immorality away from power corridors. young girls want to have fun but they are breaking marriages in doing so, sometimes one needs more prayers than votes

Primitive journalism at The Sunday Mail motivated purely by the official hate campaign against the person of president Tsvangirayi. Zanu Pf deliberately refused to reform the state media as part of the road Map to election to continue with this type of reporting. I last read that type of paper some 26yrs ago. I do not see progressive Zimbabweans spending their time on that trash.

Tsvangirai, behave like a man.why do you speak on behalf of Macheka.Woe to you because of the tamborenyokas who are misleading you.Its your house which is on fire and not the Tamborenyokas. The only thing you may say is that i dont care because i am also a womeniser,i also snatch other man’s wifes rather than rubbishing it.You need to have good and sound advisors if you want to have a good political carrier.
Nezuro chaiko sekuru Tsvangirai maimhanya nava Simba Makoni and has been advising you as a doctor. What advise can you take from Makoni a power snatcher,he wanted to unsit Mugabe and woe to you very soon it will be you.All along he was a presidential aspirant but i was surprising to see him demanding to stand as ana MP this time.

    Zanu pf has nothing
    to offer to people. It’s
    clear in their
    campaign speeches. It
    cannot present
    policies, programmes and plans
    that drive Zimbabwe forward.
    They have just resorted on
    negative campaign and attacking
    the person of President
Tsvangirai and the MDC at the
    expense of policies and reforms
    that will make Zimbabwe a
    better place.
MDC is crystal clear in its policies
and plan in government. There is
a distinctive narrative of Zanu pf
    performance in government and
    MDC performance in
    government. The record for
MDC in government is for all to
    see, managed to reduced
    inflation, increase mobile
    penetration, internet
    penetration, electricity supply,
    student textbook ration in
    schools and revived the health
    sector.
    MDC worked so hard to
    transform this country. If MDC
could do this much in a short
space of time it has been in the
    inclusive government, what more
can it do when given a fresh
    mandate from the people of
    Zimbabwe? Yes, under God’s
    guidance, Together we can
    achieve more.

Zvarwadzaka? And this Tamborigodzva should not speak so authoritatively as if he is Erizadog’s handbag. He doesn’t know what happens behind the scenes and therefore the best persons to give us the correct information is Erizadog and Kennedy. Of cause, those messages and e-mails have already been deleted but that will not save the marriage from collapsing. Firstly, Tsvangidog will try and reconcile the Cape Town incident and see if it did not happen. He will also check on his wife’s change in behaviour and as a player, Tsvangcry will not miss out on that one. On the other end, Erizadog will create tension if asked by Tsvangcry about this affair and now that its clear she will never be First Lady, she may desert him for Kennedy. They say, first cut is the deepest. Hezvooooko!! Asijiki

  22. Judah Moyo on Mon, 12th Aug 2013 2:33 pm

News papers always come up with stories to sell their papers. The infidelity of first ladies seems to be in fashion now. I remember very well that they once accused the first lady of having an affair with the reserve bank governor. They are now doing the same with Mr Tsvangirayi’s wife. It must be however observed that almost all persived enemies of ZANU PF have to meet with the same fate. Sex scandals seem to be their modus operandi. A lady was used to bring down Learnmore Jongwe. Alleged sex scandals were also used to silence Pius Ncube. I am just mentioning a few examples here. Mr Tvangirai must develop a hard skin like Mr Jacob Zuma who has faced almost all accusations that have something to do with sex including a claim that his wife was in a sexual relationship with a body guard. Mr Tvangirai must learn that politics is a dirty game and as such , he must learn to deflect or absorb the dirty with dignity and at the same time through more complex dirt at his enemies.
