Tsvangirai’s Cousin, Ambassador Makuvise ‘Applies for Asylum in Germany’

Former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s cousin, Hebson Makusive has applied for asylum in Germany, reports from within the MDC-T party state.
This comes at a time when Tsvangirai’s private assignee to Australia, Jacqueline Zwambila also applied for asylum in that country.  They were both meant to have returned to Zimbabwe by Tuesday next week after being recalled.
Makuvise who was assigned the ambassadorial post to Germany, is currently an asylum seeker in that country, sources in the party have told ZimEye. A close relative of Makuvise who cannot be named told ZimEye he applied for asylum earlier in December way before Aussie envoy Jacqueline Zwambila submitted her own application to the Australian government.
Both Makuvise and Zwambila are disliked by 90% of their party cadres who say their appointments were without merit being regarded as cheap family appointments by Morgan Tsvangirai.

It was not clear at the time of writing if the German government has granted him refugee status.
Makuvise is currently facing accusations of fraud in Zimbabwe, and also growing unpopularity among senior party cadres who have continued to protest his governmental appointment seen as a family favour from his relative Tsvangirai.
In the United Kingdom, party cadres accuse him of presiding over the disappearance of thousands of British pounds from the party’s bank account when he was Tsvangirai’s representative.
Makuvise completed his studies at the Institute of Business Executives in Harare and the Institute of Administration and Commerce (SA). He is currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in International Relations. He has worked in Zimbabwe at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the Finance Ministry, and in the private sector. Since 2001, he represented the MDC-T party as its chief representative in Europe before returning to Zimbabwe and then subsequently being catapulted to the ambassadorial post.

Lies makuvisewas never been mdc representative way back from 2001 ..The proper representative who was chosen by the mdcuk during the mentioned period was Dr Brighton Chireka but through that he has no relative who is at the top and that he is not related to Tsvangirai corruption surfaced ,,Dr Chireka was removed and he was he replaced by the new comer Hebson Makuvise in 2006 as he was personally appointed by the corrupt tsvangirai his cousin . .By doing that Teaboy angered the mdcuk people because he removed the people ‘s choice putting his cousin ….What high level corruption it is really that’s why this faction of teaboy lost the elections because the they is too much corruption in Mdct like in zanupf

  2. MDC was supposed to implement the democratic reforms agreed in the GPA; they had five years to do so; and yet not even one reform was implemented. When the MDC leaders got on the gravy train they were too busy enjoying themselves; they forgot about the reforms.
    Zimbabwe is in this political and economic mess because MDC betrayed the people.
    Ambassador Zwambila and Makuvise do not fear for their lives; they fear the daily hardships caused by the economic melt-down. Hardships which MDC have condemned the whole nation to by failing to implement the reforms.
    Australia and German should not be seen to be rewarding MDC’s betrayal of the masses by allowing the leaders to escape the chaos they caused.
    Ambassador Zwambila and Makuvise should go back to Zimbabwe and face the music they helped compose.

  5. The German and Australia immigration authorities are free to give MAKUVISE and Jacqueline ZWAMBILA asylum. As for Zwambila, the Australian immigration authorities have to realise that she is a rabid merchant of untruths. She claims that she did not undress in the office yet she did – Ian MAKONE, MAKUVISE AND TSVANGIRAI WERE TOLD BY ZWAMBILA HERSELF. THESE ARE FACTS AND THE SHAMELESS JACQUELINE KNOW THIS AND THIS IS KNOWN BY HER FAMILY AND HER NAIVE AUSTRALIAN LAWYERS. Both MAKUVISE and ZWAMBILA know that their misguided political adventures ara truly over.

  6. If Hebson was mdc t representative to the whole of Europe as far back as 2001 he probably deserved the posting to Germany never mind his relationship to Morgan.

  7. It is their right to seek for asylum if they feel that they are not safe. Whats the noise about? Obert Mpofu is a 100% looter and is afraid of nothing. He does not suffer from any shortage of water or electricity cuts. Theses 2 will be forced to change their life style and go for 12 hours a day without water or electricity. They may not even get the money they banked in local banks.

    Many MDC or ma Dzakutsaku, have misused the asylum facility.

  9. Asylum seeking has become fashionable with these MDC appointees. Theirs is not for security reasons or fear of persecution, but fear of personal humiliation as a result of their own unbecoming behaviour. They are abusing genuine asylum seekers’ reputation. It is appalling for people to abuse humanitarian gestures afforded by host countries in that manner. They should be denied such protection and go back to face the consequences of their actions and utterances.
    This has become the norm with many Zimbabweans, who have and are professing the threat of persecution at home and seek asylum when they have never been part of any political activity which warrants them such protection. Many in the UK, Canada and Australia have used this tactic to gain residence and it is so sad that they have exaggerated the reality of the country’s position. They should be ashamed for putting the country’ reputation at stake for personal satisfaction.

  12. Let the outgoing Ambassadors come home and face the economic hardships becoz of the sanctions they were supporting during their dirty tour of duties. Makuvise was also fingered in the ex PM`s double dipping scandal , which has yet to be dealt with! That explains his so called asylum seeking. Kutiza mhosva dzekuba! Mudzimai wa exPM akatiza arikugara ku matrimonial asylum muno mu HARARE zvake !
