Wintertons Scandal : Notorious Clerk Fails To Turn Up

The case involving the disputed will of a wealthy dead man Mr Innocent Katsiga, took another twist on Tuesday morning when a clerk employed by Wintertons Legal Practitioners, Bongani Machirori, who is notorious for twisting information and assuming a personal interest in this matter, failed to turn up for a scheduled teleconference arranged by her boss. The teleconference was meant to probe the issues raised through her conduct in handling the estate of the deceased. Such issues have triggered an outcry from concerned family members of the deceased.
The Katsiga estate case on queue at the High Court, has seen senior partners of Wintertons Legal Practitioners play shuttle cock as they try to dodge answering raised issues on the matter, opting to pass them on to their clerk Bongani Machirori to whom all the issues in this case have been delegated.

Last week Machirori twisting company information, claimed only her bosses were answerable on the matter which involves a disputed will which has three distinctively different signatures of the same person amid several other inconsistencies on the document. More damning revelations are that a key witness on the makeshift will document prepared by Wintertons, has been occupying an expensive property belonging to the deceased’s estate at a time when the dead man’s 9 year old son, Sasha Katsiga has been renting a dilapidated Rhodesian boy skie cottage, amid further damning revelations that he will be kicked out of school for failure to pay fees.

On Monday, Wintertons’ senior partner Mr Alwyn Pichanick fumbled for words in a futile attempt to conjure an explanation when asked about the deceased’s file in which he is the named executor.

Pichanick, said he knows nothing of the matter and only Machirori knows better. “I don’t know anything about it I am afraid,” he said. Mr. Pichanick is however the named Executor in the controversial will and yet he referred our reporter to the law firm’s clerk, Machirori. 
He then soon afterwards scheduled a teleconference meeting in which Machirori would be present with him in the office on Tuesday morning at 11am.

But Tuesday emerged with drama as Machirori did not turn up for the meeting causing Pichanick to unceremoniously refuse to attend to the teleconference. To save the situation he quickly stated that the case was now being handled by another senior partner in the firm. No explanation was given for the sudden shift of position by Mr Pichanick.
ZimEye is reliably informed that following the failed teleconference, the Katsiga file has now been transferred to another senior partner who introduced himself as the managing partner of the firm. The evasion to answer questions from ZimEye reporters has made the issue a hot potato in the firm as no one has been comfortable to tackle the issues raised starting from Mr. Pichanick to Mrs. Machirori.

  33. Please always check your receipts. Lawyers can never be trusted. I overpayed a stand I was buying thru a very reputable law firm and there is no refund coming my way. I accidentally discovered it and it took a long battle before they acknowledged it. Its 1.5 yrs now and my title deeds are still “being processed”. I think was swindled.
