bus colapsed… rescuers inspect the wreckage

A police officer said ambulances rushed seriously injured passengers to hospitals in Bulawayo. Some of the ambulances transported the injured to Gweru.
“We do not know how many were injured as the ambulances arrived before we got here,” said a police officer at the scene.
The accident scene was like a dirty dump site as the passengers’ luggage was strewn all over. There were big and ugly red patches of blood on the road that hinted at the ordeal the passengers went through.
The Shangani area is now a black spot for motorists and passengers. Last year a Pathfinder Bus overturned killing seven and injuring scores of passengers. Several fatal accidents have been witnessed in the same area before.

  1. fi a living inna Sodom n Gomorrah ,babylon system gwaan high ,plz devil don’t count dem innocent ppl to hell

  2. Seems the driver slept on the wheel. This looks like a case of fatigue. Drivers must not be forced to drive long hours. They must have time to rest so that they can be able to concentrate while they are on duty. Long distance routes should have at least two drivers per bus per trip.

  3. drivers and owners are at times to blame
kana bus richimhanya 140km/hr you expect the minister to reduce speed

  4. Bus accidents have been a threat since last year. The point against the PCJ scene is that the driver slept just all.
Passangers must learn to talk and interview drivers within journeys . He wil be alone in front playing soft music and the end result he sleeps and kills you. Watch out

  5. The buses should not be allowed to travel overnight in Zimbabwe, borders should insure that they do not hold buses up at border crossings so that they travel during day light hours.
And Police should Not be stopping buses a dozen times between the buses journey.
So that the buses again can reach their destination in DAY LIGHT !!

  6. The cars need resistance on the tarmac and the proper technical term is called “skid resistance”. With continued use, the skid resistance decreases and in a normal situation when the skid resistance decreaes to unsafe level, engineers put a new layer of tar on top of wornout tar. The process is called reseal. Technocrafts need to drive over the roads to do a process called Road Condition Survey. These processes require a budget; to make matters worse ZINARA funds meant for roads are controlled by soldiers. Don’t blame the minister of Transport, he doesn’t create a road budget.

  8. When the country goes to vultures, vulnerable people suffer the most.Evil is on the rise in the land that used to be bread basket.Who is spearheading the downfall of the once loved economy. That person will definitely suffer together with his children. So much money is being collected yet no progress is seen ,God where are you, your people have suffered .Christians lets unite and cut satan’s tail that is blocking our deliverence.

  9. Looks like the Minister of Transport is sleeping on the Job.These disasters are now a daily occurrence and everybody including Parliament treats it as normal. The trajedy with our country is that those tasked to provide leadership are sleeping on the wheel, and are busy lining their pockets,to worry about the common people’s lives.Zimbabwe’s roads are now killing fields.
