Does water in a borehole explode? A revolutionary automated borehole providing clean water for hundreds of people in Harare’s Marlborough surbub was destroyed and ripped open, and the local police refused to perform further investigations claiming that it had rather burst mysteriously.
The borehole had been installed by Harare West MP Jessie Majome using the Constituency Development Funds allocated for her work, and according to reports was found destroyed after residents had been told it is unwelcome because it had been drilled “by an MDC MP.”
Picture 1 is residents using the CDF funded automated borehole at Chichera Plot which was supplying water to at least 400 households. Picture 2 and 3 show the 5000 litre tank vandalised, in the dead of night shortly after residents were warned that the borehole was unwelcome because it had been drilled “by an MDC MP”.
Marlborough police closed the docket saying the cold water tank “exploded” despite having been supplied with suspects’ names. The case reference was CR26/04/12

These MDC MPs should be investigated,i sank a borehole at my rural home and constructed an eight metre high stand for a similar water tank and i only paid $2 500.00.for all that.To suggest that C D F was used to come up with such a sub standard structure is fooling the people, she must tell us what did with the rest of the money.Its clear that the steel used for the stand is of inferior quality.
