Harare(ZimEye)The Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters Association(ZNSSA) and Go Liner tours have signed a deal. Under the deal Zimbabwean fans will be ferried to South Africa for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup Final, the 2010 World Cup Finals and Nations Cup Final in South Africa and Angola.
The package will be launched at Rainbow Towers in Harare this Friday. Go Liner tours are allegedly in consultations with national teams and fans that might intend to pass through Zimbabwe during the 2010 World Cup Final. The tour operator is targeting 250 fans for the Confederations Cup Finals to be held at Ellis Park Stadium in South Sfrica on 28th June.
The package has been dubbed ‘ Zimbabwe welcoming FIFA Confederations cup 2009 and World Cup 2010.’ ZIFA have endorsed the deal and suggested that the tour operator should become the official carrier of the Zimbabwe National teams.
Premiership leadership is also being courted by Go Liner into a deal that will see the operator becoming the League Official carrier. ZNSS leader Eddie Nyatanga confirmed the partnership. “The ZNSSA is set to unveil a massive package for its members who intend to travel to watch the FIFA 2009 Confederation Cup, the African Cup of Nations and World Cup 2010 finals in South Africa and Angola,” said Nyatanga.
Despite the national soccer team’s failure to qualify for the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup finals, ZNSSA has been voted the third best in Africa by CAF. (ZimEye, Zimbabwe)
